How often do you use your Steam Deck at home when you already have a gaming PC?

A lot, but I think the people that get the most use are husbands and dads. For example my wife likes to hang out upstairs and not feel so disconnected so we can talk still. Steam deck is great for this and progressing single player games.

ADHD impulse buying: what is one purchase that you DO NOT regret?

The steam deck, I got super fixated on it and bought one very impulsively and I use it almost daily. It’s also made gaming accessible for me again!

Resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 are now out on Steam.

I just saw this and picked up all 3. Feel like these would be perfect on the steam deck

I am afraid I can't do that, Dave

Unless you put in the steam launch option to pretend your PC is a steam deck. Then a lot of games will cooperate lol.

Linux smashes past 5% on the Steam Survey for the first time

The SteamDeck made see that it is possible to run games perfectly fine on linux. It was the one thing that kept me on Windows. I made the switch with my desktop 3 weeks ago, I installed Nobara and haven't looked back since.

Halo Infinite Campaign Review - it is a Far Cry from the Halo Formula, and now i'm glad they're ditching the Slipspace engine

I ran this at 60fps on steam deck. Actually enjoyed it a lot though I agree with many of your criticisms. You rated Halo 4 above Halo 3 though and that I cannot abide.

What’s your favorite games that Valve calls “unsupported” that are actually more or less “Verified“?

Its not my favorite, but Battlefront 2 runs surprisingly well on the Steam Deck.

What game "shouldn't" work well on the Deck, but you found a way to love it?

Agree. I only played it on Steam Deck. Got so used to it that it felt weird trying it on kb/m.

PSA: Don't sleep on Luna game streaming if you already pay for Amazon Prime

You got me. It's me, Jeff Bezos. I need even more billions by tapping into the Steam Deck enthusiast market. Nah man, I'm just super psyched after 6 hours of working through Great Circle, a game I previously had no ability to play - now suddenly at high quality 60fps - at no extra cost to me. I want

Eurogamer: Kena: Bridge of Spirits' Switch 2 port is fine, but doesn't offer an upgrade over handheld PC or last-gen experiences

The article acknowlegdes that the Switch 2 itself is capable of far better. It brings out that Star Wars Outlaws exists which isn't near playable on other handheld PCs. It's just this port that feels underwhelming when less powerful systems like the Steam Deck manage to look about the same or run at
