Valve employees, I know y'all lurk... Please, tell whoever you need to: DO NOT ship the new Steam hardware in shipping boxes that scream what is inside.

In the UK my Steam Deck arrived in a largely ordinary looking cardboard box, except for a Companion Cube themed “This Way Up” sign and small logo next to the handling warnings. Nothing over the top, but enough to alert anyone looking for deliveries to snag. It’s cute, but yeah. Please don’t do this.

Are there any hubs like this for the steam deck? I'm not a fan of the ones with a cable.

I doubt it because it would block your vent exhaust and power/vol buttons. And you also don’t want to risk damaging the USB-C port on steam deck - it’s soldered to the board and not easily replaced

Should I have just gotten the Steam Deck?

Well, you can’t get the SD right now. No one can, at a reasonable price at least. And who knows when or if it will be back, and I am willing to bet it won’t be for the same price as before. PS, Xbox, Switch.. all got a price increase. Valve is not escaping the AI plague and electronics shortages. It

Hello I’m a steam deck user and I need Reddit for some help/ideas

If your FPS is that low with other non-demanding games you very likely have a defective Steam Deck. But I would always try both factory resetting and re-imaging it (if the first option doesn't work) before accepting that.

How screwed am I?

A few days ago, I noticed that the back cover was slightly bulging, and yesterday I decided to remove it to check if it was the battery. Unfortunately, it was. When I'm not gaming, I always leave my Steam Deck connected to the dock so it’s always fully charged when I want to use it. Could this have

What weird Steam Deck habit did you accidentally develop?

Yep. You can tell that Valve worked very hard on a lot of the stuff with the SD, it shows. The follow-through is the issue. The verification system is nice in concept, but is only as good as it's maintenance, which has already been shown to be lacking. They NEED to make a community rating for verifi
