Cool story bro

Hehe bro, you know what? The Steam Deck OLED is still the best when it comes to price, screen quality, size, and overall optimization.

Newly Verified ‘Death Stranding 2’ running at sub 20 frames during combat.

Is anyone surprised? Verified has meant nothing for years. Valve saying they're going to make the restrictions even MORE lax for the Steam Machine honestly has me very concerned what they're gonna let publishers get away with, after watching what they've "verified" for the Deck.

Valve has developed kernel patches and user-space tools (like dmemcg-booster and plasma-foreground-booster) to prioritize VRAM for foreground games on low-VRAM Linux systems (e.g. 8GB cards), enabling smoother Vulkan/RADV gameplay such as Cyberpunk 2077

Just recently, the steam deck's custom scheduler was deployed by meta to their data center workloads. Valve really is improving linux for everyone.

Is Decky bad or something?

It's not bad, it's just that it's outside software, so you have to expect it to sometimes conflict with what Valve updates. I've personally noticed that my Deck sometimes doesn't fully shut down when I tell it to, so I have to hold the power button, and it's more than likely Decky (or a Decky plug-i

Rip Meta quest

i won't be jumping to it immediately.. but i'm interested in an all steam ecosystem.. if they released steamOS to be installed on any computer and i could dual boot windows for productivity and steamOS for gaming, then it was seamless to connect the frame to that, plus the controller? i'd be all ove

Newly Verified ‘Death Stranding 2’ running at sub 20 frames during combat.

Steam verification has honestly not meant much to me remotely for the past 2 years or so. Especially as the SD has become more and more underpowered for newer harder to run games. I love my steam deck oled but I have tried more than a few “verified” games that just don’t remotely work well on it.

What’s the best Steam Deck games of 2025 so far?

Fantasy Life i Fantastic love letter to the decade old 3DS game, wonderful core gameplay loop of leveling up 14 different combat, gathering, and crafting classes. Do as little or much as you want. Incredibly grindy, but in the best "just one more thing" way and I cranked 100 hours into it before I b

Hades 2 on the Steam Deck is next-level.

Ive been playing Hades 2 since early access started. Only a few months later was when I got my Deck OLED. After they had released the 3rd surface level biome, I spent a week trying to get to/beat the boss of that area on my PC. Then, I went to visit my parents for the weekend. I finally did beat tha

Blue Archive is up on Steam!

NGS (Nexon Game Security, the game's anticheat) also doesn't mind the game running on Linux. Tested on Steam Deck OLED and it works. There is also a post in the game's sub saying it also works with regular Linux desktops.

I am so glad I chose the Steam Deck over the Xbox Rog Ally.

I choose an ROG Ally X because I wanted “a bigger battery”… I ended up getting a Steam Deck OLED as well later because I wanted the track pads. The interesting thing I found is that the deck is just SO optimised that the battery performance is the same as the Ally X is almost every game. Example, my
