should I drop 700 USD on 96 Gigs of ram?

I currently have 16 gigs of RAM on my UG NAS DXP4800+ but half of it is being used … should I drop 700 USD on 96 Gigs of ram? No.

💌 A fan wrote to us: “Should I upgrade my NAS in 2026?”

"for several years." COME ON! I mean, the DXP4800 Plus was release Q3 2024 :D. This post doesn't make sense. I have a DS 214+ running just fine. You change a NAS if you want to have more drives... not for other reasons. And when you purchase a NAS you should buy it with the next 5-7 years in mind.

NAS is available in AU now!

We asked for the DXP range, not the entry level DH. When can we get the DXP4800 Plus and DXP 6800 Pro here!?

2 bays or 4 bays in this user case ?

I'm literally just moving my files to my DXP2800. If money is not a problem, then for all means go for the DXP4800 Plus (it is at USD 594 right now on their site). I was thinking the same thing, but it will take me a while to need more storage than the 2x 12TB hard drives I have. Plus I know you wil

UGREEN NAS Extra Offers Unlocked – And a Look Back at Our LIVE

lol your coupon code can’t be combined with the existing “sale” …what sale? I was considering a dxp4800+. It’s been at 595$ perpetually except for when yall raised the price by 40$ right before Memorial Day so you could implement your “sale”. And tbh it feels a little overpriced for what it is, espe

Backing up one DXP4800+ to another

I stand corrected then. CPU sports it… “Finally, there’s support for Thunderbolt 4, but Ugreen hasn’t implemented it on this model. It appears that Ugreen has reserved Thunderbolt 4 support for its higher-end models, which makes sense from a SKU differentiation factor, but it’s disappointing nonethe

Is the summer sale real?

Seems legit but the prices are still very high tho. I can get a DXP4800 Plus for 80€ less here in a local Store 😅

Reminder to BackupBeforeYouFKUP - Do you do off-site backups?

I suppose that's ones perception of cheap. I don't think a dxp4800 plus is cheap at circa £600. That's without the upgraded 32gb ddr5 ram and without adding the 4 18tb drives and 2 Samsung 990 pros. Even the secondary beelink me pro nas with 2 8tb drives and 1x 1tb nvme set me back a minimum of £500
