"for several years." COME ON! I mean, the DXP4800 Plus was release Q3 2024 :D. This post doesn't make sense. I have a DS 214+ running just fine. You change a NAS if you want to have more drives... not for other reasons. And when you purchase a NAS you should buy it with the next 5-7 years in mind.

UGREEN DH4300 Plus VS Synology DS423 VS something else?
I'd prefer the Synology even at the same price for a couple of reasons. One of the big one is Synology hybrid raid. With the Synology you could add different size drives as you expand (for example, you could add two 8tb drives in hybrid raid which would give you 16tb usable space.) with the ugreen,
