DXP480T Fan malfunction

My brand new dxp4800 plus back fan started making clicking noises, it's louder than my 2 HDDs. After 3 weeks of back and forth with the support, me sending 3 videos showing different settings for the fan, accessing the control panel and manually adjusting the settings, filming the blades movment and

[BUG REPORT + diagnosis] UGOS Pro 1.16.0.0089 silently zeroed POSIX permissions on my shared-folder roots — Docker breaks, the GUI shows you a comforting lie, recovery is a forensic exercise

Any news on this?Just adding my experience here because it looks like this is not an isolated case. After the recent UGOS Pro update on my UGREEN NASync DXP4800 Plus, I checked the permissions on my shared folders because I had seen other users reporting similar problems. In my case, the Docker/conf

DXP4800 Pro availability

They were on offer on Amazon and Ugreen as summer sale quite heavily discounted for the respective sales , so probably more that reason than discontinued. I guess the 4800 plus may become discontinued way before the pro , the pro being alot newer.

DXP4800Plus Crucial 32GB ram not compatible

I had 16GB / 4800 MHz of this RAM installed and always had crashes under load. Spended a long time to debug why and it was the RAM. The stick itself is not the problem it works without problems in my laptop. But in my dxp4800 it throws errors in memtest86. Be aware of this. I had data corruption wit

[BUG REPORT + diagnosis] UGOS Pro 1.16.0.0089 silently zeroed POSIX permissions on my shared-folder roots — Docker breaks, the GUI shows you a comforting lie, recovery is a forensic exercise

Did Ugreen ever respond to your ticket? Today I inserted a 20Tb into my dxp4800+ running thr latest UGOS. Made a folder for movies, tried to add it to radarr, but failed as it said it didn’t have permissions. Did some testing with and it seems like I have the same issue. POSIX shows as 0000 and I se

Can I reuse this old drive for DXP 4800 Plus?

I had a 2000GB Barracuda sitting in a drawer for years. It has a ton of family photos and other important data. I put in my DXP4800, and it died almost immediately after I copied its contents to my new 8TB Ironwolf drives. I wouldn't trust it with anything important. If you're trying to recover anyt

RAM Upgrade

I have been running the 2x16GB version of Crucial DDR5-4800mHz ram in my DXP4800 plus and had no issues up until about 2 weeks ago. I mainly use my NAS for Jellyfin and have had zero issues when streaming to my apple devices but as soon as I got my projector which runs Google TV/Android TV I started

12TB WD Red Plus failures with DXP2800?

Afaik no. I have those on my dxp4800+ and no issues. Could be a sign that the drive is dying though. I had 2 DOA’s sadly :/
