Unifi at CES 2026??
I don’t think Ubiquiti is here. One Ubiquiti-related observation: GL.iNet doubled their booth size this year and they seemed much busier (I’ve been working a booth in the same area, so I walked by their booth multiple times during my toilet/snack breaks). This made me wonder whether the release of t

Shots fired (back) feat. UTR
Sure it has better specs, but they cannot come close to Ubiquiti's ecosystem. Most people that will get the UTR are because they are already in the Unifi ecosystem and don't care about Wi-Fi 7 when traveling. Supporting cellular would be great, though!

My UTR arrived and it worked out of the box. I’m shocked after reading the nonsense on this sub.
I'm not surprised -- a lot of the discourse I read on the UTR reminds me of the original iPod vs. other mp3 players at the time. Yes, the competition is technically better on paper. Yes, you can do a lot more with the other devices. But you can't just write off ease of use, simplicity, and formfacto

TIL you can use tether usb port on UTR to power instant camera's
In the early pre-release reviews from influencers, several mentioned Ubiquiti will support Ethernet over USB on the UTR for the Instant cameras. I hope this becomes a thing in a future update and wasn’t reviewers misunderstanding Ubiquiti.

One of the most useless things that I own
I think there is a strong chance ubiquiti support the UTR further and make it a better experience. The adoption of it has been kind of mind blowing to me. Specifically because of what you already said... the GliNet routers are just plain better. So with the amount of sales they had with the UTR, and

Yet another real world UTR experience
The alternative to this device is a used phone. Which does have the USB nic built in. One reason to do this is energy efficiency. It takes less energy on both host and client to connect via USB than wifi. I just experienced how hot the router got as a wifi hotspot and would prefer to save that energ

UTR tested
I'm currently in Disney world with my family and I've used the UTR for the kids as they have lots of devices and also for our apple TV. Initial thoughts after 2 nights with it... Range is very limited. We have conjoining rooms and the second one of the kids goes in the next room with their tablet, i

Pre Order
This may go against the grain, but why buy from UI store where they are charging tariffs? B&H Photo has just as much stock, and in this case still has the UTR in stock. Sure, you only get 1 year of warranty vs 2 years from UI. But you get 2 day shipping and depending on location it's 1 day. In my 5

Shots fired (back) feat. UTR
I’m not sure if I’m understanding you correctly, if you configure a VPN to access your network, yeah, it will share resources as if you were there, that’s like how all corp networks work. I used to do IT work for O’Reilly auto parts, that’s literally how all their stores get pricing for parts, they
