They are different form factors and different uses, and you should be looking at store.ui.com for current models - there are few other valid outlets for UniFi and it's best to buy direct. (MicroCenter is an exception to this). The UniFi Dream Router, a.k.a. UDR7, is an all-in-one device similar to t

If you're near a Microcenter, this is going to be the best you can get within that budget: https://www.microcenter.com/product/692536/ubiquiti-unifi-dream-router-7-desktop-10g-cloud-gateway-with-integrated-wifi-7,-poe-switch,-microsd-storage Also, if you have coverage issues, the Dream Router 7 is c

The UniFi Express 7 paired with a U7 LR would be my choice. I think saving money and getting a less powerful cloud gateway is better because you can pair it with a better AP. Just make sure you get a PoE injector to power the AP.

Do they have a basic router/gateway that isn't also a controller? For small setup, how would the controller on a PC be used - only if non-UniFi router with UniFi APs? Yes, but they are priced the same as gateways that have the controller built-in. The PC-based controller would be useful if you had U

Do you have wifi 7 clients? If not, wifi 6 is cheaper. Do you have a ton of devices? If not, triband is not really necessary - most average consumer routers will handle a reasonable amount of clients. (Triband usually just adds a second 5 GHz radio, making a total of three.) I'd suggest you consider

Yes, very good recommendation. But for a 2 storey house, I would rather go with the Dream Router 7, which is 400$ on the Ubiquiti canadian website, it's much more complete and more powerfull. The Express 7 can be used stand alone but is often used as wifi companion for their Cloud gateway routers th

Ubiquiti Dream Router 7 is a great all in one solution, or the UniFi Express 7 if you're on a little more of a budget. You'd need a switch with the latter. If you have a Micro Center near you, you can get one of those with an access point as a bundle for a great price. I just replaced an 2 Asus Zen

I second the opinion that UniFi Express 7 would be nice for you, though you'd need to add at least one 2.5G Flex switch to get more ports. You need to keep in mind it only supports UniFi Network app. If you need to add surveillance, you'll need a Cloud Gateway (Max or Fiber) and a separate AP, or bu

Here are the options I would suggest: UniFi Express 7 (£190) The Unifi Express 7 is above £150 by a bit, however it will probably outlast your existing and future networking needs, even if you were to jump to a 2.5Gig plan. UniFi Express 6 (£123) The UniFi Express 6 is more in line with what I would
