I think the dreamwall was one of those innovative things Ubiquiti tried throw at the wall to see if it sticks and this one probably didn’t stick well enough.

Forced to re-adopt when topology changes?
For reference, a Dreamwall cannot do spanning tree (STP/RSTP) at all. From Ubiquiti support: Cloud Gateway devices such as the Dream Wall do not support STP or RSTP configuration, including priority settings.
