Teleport is WAY slower than Wireguard - why is this?

Yeah that's why I'm confused. This comment in another thread suggested that it's a well-known issue, but I can't find anything else confirming that. There is documentation about amplifi alien's implementation of teleport that says that the max speed of teleport is 17 mbps (which fits what I'm seeing

UDM-SE SFP+ ports to Lite 8

Most people on Reddit will tell you to buy another switch and connect that switch to the udm via DAC and connect everything to that switch instead of the UDM Yes. Because the UDM Pro/SE only gives the 8 port switch a 1 gig backplane. You shouldnt use it for devices that could ACTUALLY pull a gig of

Decided to build my own 19”

What specifically draws you to the UDM SE? If you’re just powering POE cameras that’s a good option, although the dedicated UNR Instant or UNVR are both solid options. FYI the entire UDM lineup is dated and due for a refresh. Most here on this Reddit would recommend the UCG Fiber.

Aquiss and Unifi UDM SE and slow speeds

I couldn't fix it. I got a Firewalla Gold Pro and that handles the full speed. I can't recommend Aquiss enough though. The owner reached out and helped me through, reached out to several business contacts that he knew was running similar equipment from Unifi and then reached back out saying that the

Long time network engineer but first time with Ubiquiti, need to design an HQ network with a few hundred people on it wired and WiFi

Yeah, that last bit about no controller's the only thing that really stood out to me, as well. Also, if you're going to add video surveillance through Ubiquiti, additionally add a standalone NVR. The Unifi Protect app when recording multiple cameras draws substantial CPU use on a Dream Machine SE, a

Looking for some guidance on a home network

The UDM SE, UCG Fiber, or Dream Router 7 are routers/cloud gateways to control Unifi devices. You would still need a modem. Ubiquiti makes the Unifi Cable Internet modem that is certified for Xfinity. I’m using it for my backup connection. It’s on the expensive side. There are other options from Arr

Is there a hardware fix for a UDM SE that won’t boot after power loss? Mine is out of warranty.

This is my favorite comment, claiming the UDM-SE is a cheap junk router, and it’s surprising it’s lasted this long, and I should have thrown it out because everyone knows firewalls wear out quickly especially when you run gigs of data through them, like 5 years max, & never mind that is was only mad

U7 lite vs U6+

I found another reddit article on a failed SMPS in the UDM-SE. Seems like the PSUs might be a weakspot. Dead Dream Machine SE PSU revived : r/Ubiquiti

UDM‑SE vs USW‑Pro‑Max‑16‑PoE

Well you need a router to make the network functional. You also need a unify controller, the UDM-SE has one built in. But the UDM-SE has a shared back plane for all of its ethernet switch ports. So they all share bandwidth, not a good thing to use as the center of a network. Like I said before, you

Using Ports on Both UDM SE & 16 Pro Max PoE Switch

Put low bandwidth stuff like the IoT hubs on the SE. Definitely put the cascaded Flex hubs downstream of the Pro Max, that's your core switch. Set STP priorities. Edit: Low-bandwidth uses for UDM-xxx 8 port integral switch Big thread that discusses the technical shortcomings of the AIO utility switc
