UniFi Network Server and UniFi OS Server Alternative?

Just a note that a Gateway Lite or Gateway Ultra (or Gateway Fiber) would not accomplish what you want. If you want an integrated controller, then you need a Cloud Gateway Lite or Cloud Gateway Ultra (or Cloud Gateway Fiber). Shame on Ubiquiti for naming them so similar, but that are indeed differen

Roast my fast wireless NAS plan in a van...

"AC PoE injectors are not an option", so you need to switch AP to 2.5GbE PoE - 10GbE is Poe IN only. UCG-Ultra/Max/Fiber could not be powerd by PoE. Fiber has PoE out, but for IN you need some adapters (easier for Ultra/Max, as both are USB-C powered). -- "As I have a NAS, which will be linux, do I

Which Fiber Version is this?

Deleted my comment as you must have posted. Agree with you. Interestingly the images shown on Amazon show both the UCG-Ultra and UXG-Ultra, so it's hard to say what is actually being offered. https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-UCG-Fiber-Cloud-Gateway/dp/B0DZSB9HYY OP should stay away from this one.

UniFi Network Server and UniFi OS Server Alternative?

A good reminder. It's UCG-Ultra I was looking at. I had debated about getting it in the fall when upgrading, but was happy to keep the controller on the PC as it's on anyway. Kinda annoyed I didn't see talk of the discontinuation sooner. Even when looking for it after the popup information has been

Do I need a layer 3 switch to segregate networks?

You’re not wrong. I’ll just leave you with this: Two years ago I started with a Cloud Gateway Ultra, a Lite PoE 8 switch, a U6 Mesh AP, and a U6 Mesh extender. Every bit of that is gone and replaced by a UCG Max, a Pro Max 16 PoE switch, 2 U7 Pro XG APs, 2 U6 Pro APs, a U7 In Wall AP, an AI Port, an

Foreign wifi device on my network - analyze which IP is device communicating to?

You also have UCG-Ultra or somethin with more features maybe? Displaying IP addresses might be premium feature I suspect? I think I messed up with Asus -> Ubiquiti migration. Both gateway and AP-s are not able to display IP-s client is connected to. https://techspecs.ui.com/unifi/cloud-gateways/udm-

UCG Ultra to control two sites

Hi u/Jendoff, Did you find any answer for this? I too was under the impression that the UCG-Ultra could handle multi-site and act as a full fledge Unifi Network Controller. It seems to be locked to one site withe the UCG-Ultra as the locked in gateway. I can see that unifi.ui.com has a site manager,

Finally got upgraded to FTTP today and was so excited until I realized to TP-Link VR300 is capped at 100mbs. Money is pretty tight, could I please have some budget suggestion to get the most out of my new connection.

Both of these are listed for well under $300 before the obligatory market place low ball and the UCG is new. I think around 200-$250 is do able and that was a 3 second look without changing locale and just choosing the first U6 that popped up. Marketplace - UniFi Cloud Gateway UCG Ultra - Brand New
