Letting a cat outside for the first time. When did you take off the training wheels?
Noodle wears a tractive gps too and its peace of mind! I think I only fully relaxed when I realised he is a little clock himself. He leaves ar 8:30, comes back for nibbles at 10, leaves at 11, comes back ar 13:00 for lunch, leaves right after and its home 16:00 for dinner. Every single day. We never

i’m thinking of getting a dog tracker but i don’t know if it’s a good idea
I think it would be helpful to research reasonable expectations for a GPS tracker. For example, with Tractive (and many others), your home wifi may be set up as a power-saving zone. Great for battery life and makes sense, because you don't need it pinging all the time when your pet is at home, right

Tractive 6 experience?
I have 2 dogs and they both have a tractive 6. I’ve attached it on the handle of his collar, as this collar is too wide, but it fits perfectly fine with his normal sized collar. The positives: It’s accurate, the battery lasts about a week with walks, super quick notifications when they leave the bou

Anyone else have constant anxiety about their dog getting out?
I have a very clingy Velcro dog who i cannot imagine running off, but I got a Tractive Smart dog GPS tracker to try it out for hiking as a safety backup feature because I want her to have the freedom to roam in areas where being only a short distance apart means losing visual contact because of tree

Totally regret this purchase - my STRONG recommendation is to avoid at all costs.
Use mine for two cats, definitely not perfect, and I’m always looking for alternatives. For my sake: the tracking is not accurate enough. It must be possible to code this device in a way to weed out the most crazy gps errors, but I still get my cat crossing the road all the time, triggering the virt

Share your first impressions of the new Tractive Cat 6 Mini & Dog 6 XL
I had so many hopes for this collar! I have had a previous version, and it worked good, but a bit bulky. I finally received the new one AND it won’t see my NETWORK to even connect. I work in tech sector and TRIED everything (switching WiFi frequency, turning legacy mode on/off….nothings worked!!!).

Cat 6 Mini
I’ve been Tractive user for years, and this has always been a problem. Even when outside with a clear sky, the GPS has a lot of quirks. It will say my cat has crossed a road 50 meters away. I try to give my safezones a generous buffer, but I get tons of these notifications every day :/.

Dog ran away today. Do I want a Fi, or…?
I would buy it someplace with good returns, I tried it for a week or two and just didn't have the service where I was for it to be effective, I'm in a real / suburban area. I ordered it from Costco which was great with the return. I use tractive instead which is faster to alert and locate my dog (ha

thoughts on the dog 6 tracker after owning it for less than 2 days
u/Formal-Shopping2086 Hey, not sure if you still need some help/input but here are my two cents: First, it's important to keep in mind that the minimum size of the virtual fence helps accuracy. If the area is too small there's a higher risk of false notifications coming your way. I assume you've alr
