Letting a cat outside for the first time. When did you take off the training wheels?
Noodle wears a tractive gps too and its peace of mind! I think I only fully relaxed when I realised he is a little clock himself. He leaves ar 8:30, comes back for nibbles at 10, leaves at 11, comes back ar 13:00 for lunch, leaves right after and its home 16:00 for dinner. Every single day. We never

Found!
Thank you for welcoming her to your life☺️ You won't regret it🩷 They are the best. A couple of tips that works for me: 1- If she starts biting or is a troublemaker chances are she needs to take a nap, especially after a walk. Beagles need to sleep more bc they are on a detective mission 24/7 (aka sni

Iggy Recall
Wilson was brilliant with recall when he was a puppy. I trained it as early as possible and, if I’m honest, I got a bit smug when I saw other dogs ignoring their owners. Then he hit about 6–7 months old and one day I called him… and he just looked at me. I’d never seen that expression before, but so

So lurchers have to be on a lead or in a 6’ fence when outside?
I have an (american) lurcher, my neighbor adopted a lurcher and fostered two others, and I've adopted two greyhounds and fostered 2 others. In my experience, a four foot fence is fine. Honestly a 3 foot is fine, but the lurcher adoption people told me: "it doesn't occur to most greyhounds to jump a

Cat 6 mini - false tracking data (???)
The new cat 6 mini has atrocious GPS. When it doesnt get GPS connection (which is most of the time tbh) - live tracking will just keep stationary at the last sent location without actually updating the GPS. So considering that, your tracker might as well be 10 minutes of cat walking away from your p

i’m thinking of getting a dog tracker but i don’t know if it’s a good idea
I think it would be helpful to research reasonable expectations for a GPS tracker. For example, with Tractive (and many others), your home wifi may be set up as a power-saving zone. Great for battery life and makes sense, because you don't need it pinging all the time when your pet is at home, right

Advice on traveling with cat.
Get that kitty on a harnass quick! And get a tractive GPS tracker collar as well. Start taking them to grocery store on your shoulders get them used to backpack cat bags. We take our cats on our boat for two months every summer and other holidays as well. Much better than leaving them at home alone!

Pre-ordered CAT 6 Mini: July 1st Shipping day is here! Public accountability thread.
1 star Preordered, promised shipping by July 1st, still nothing. Should I do a charge back? Preordered the CAT 6 Mini expecting it to ship by July 1st like Tractive promised. Here we are and I've got nothing, no tracking number, no shipping confirmation, no real update, just silence. This isn't a on

FYI, recent issues with Tractive may be related to new ownership
Hi u/DisastrousTwo4163, Thanks so much for sharing your concerns and feedback. It's true that Tractive was acquired by Bending Spoons. This happened in late May, so the new management only stepped in a couple of months ago. 😊 In our case, new management doesn't mean a change in our dedication to Tra

Anyone else have constant anxiety about their dog getting out?
I have a very clingy Velcro dog who i cannot imagine running off, but I got a Tractive Smart dog GPS tracker to try it out for hiking as a safety backup feature because I want her to have the freedom to roam in areas where being only a short distance apart means losing visual contact because of tree
