G4SE extender

The other advice you got was bad. Hope im not too late. There is nothing wrong with you g4se modem. Its what I use and plan on using for years to come. It has the external antenna port that I have hooked up to a waveform antenna. If your internet wasn't good enough that is what id have you do. Get a

Mesh wifi extenders vs normal wifi extenders

Mesh has better handover logic between nodes via controller built-in, wifi6 will make it even more efficient... Got a 4-node deco x55 system for the parents 3k sq/ft with wireless backhaul, works well and just got a dual node for my townhouse- no disappointment at all

PSA: Moving away from the Google-supplied wifi router helped me immensely!

Whatever you get, an ethernet connection will always be better than wifi. In fact, Google Fiber’s website indicates that advertised speeds are intended for wired connections. For what it’s worth, I have the TP-Link Deco X55 (because I’m on a budget) with wired backhaul and speed tests over wifi show

Tp-link Deco X20 Outdoor

Do you have the entire mesh system? Or did you just buy the outdoor AP with the intent on connecting it to your existing network? If it's the latter, I don't think it has that functionality (don't quote me on this, though). I have the Deco X55 mesh system in my house including an outdoor AP and it w

Mesh-system recommendations

Ebox only supports up to 1gbs download speed and with the size of your house there is no reason to buy something expensive. Get Deco x55 / x50 - usually it goes for $193-225 (3-pack) but sometimes for no good reason the price will jump to +$300 (DO NOT buy it for that price lol) Ebox won't lower the

[Help] Deco X55/BE25 Wired Backhaul producing <2Mbps Wi-Fi speeds on 1Gbps Fiber

Im no expert but here are a few pointers. Since your wired PC on the second unit is "blazing fast," we have proven the Wired Backhaul is solid. Your custom cable is fine! The issue is purely the wireless broadcast. Try these steps in order: The "One-Node" Test: Unplug the basement Deco entirely.

Do these things really work?

I just did this for wireless backhaul on deco x55 pro. I has previously used wifi and before that gave up on powerline adapters for all the reaaons mentioned. Love the moca 2.5gb. Wired connections get 1.2 gb down on a 1.5gb down plan. Wireless around 600-900kbps.

Help with connectivity issues and wifi dropping.

Just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone in this thread for all the help! I reconnected my Verizon router to the ONT, then connected my Deco X55 to the router with an Ethernet cable. In the Deco app, I switched both the unit connected to the router and the one in my bedroom to AP mode, and s
