Deco M5

Happy Sky Stream user here. Been using it for about 3 months and it’s fine. We don’t have full fibre to our house as it’s not available in my area. We use a 5G router with unlimited data plan connected to a set of Deco M5 hubs. My two Sky Stream boxes are connected by Ethernet to the nearest Deco hu

Nothing you've said provides much information of use, the Ethernet "Played up"? What do you mean played up, its a cable. Then the Wi-Fi dongle "Played up"? What does this mean? Start right at the beginning, the make/model and specs of their PC so others know what they have, what is your Virgin route

you don’t even need a wifi 7 router technically. i’m still on a 3-pack of Deco M5’s that i bought 4 years ago so it’s at least that old. any decent router from the last 5 (maybe even 10) years is probably fine.

Not a professional here pero I used to have a deco m5. With your pc since naka lan nmn sya via x60 wala akong nakikitang issue. Pero for wifi... say your phone pag nasa room mo ikaw connected sya sa network ni x60 then pagbaba mo lilipat sa m5. Baka hindi smooth yung pag hand over nya or mag stay sa

just a quick warning, tplink deco marketnya utk orang awam, utk poweruser kurang saya sarankan sih, sempet trouble grgr deco dirumah saya (3x Deco M5) ternyata utk setup dan setting harus via cloud service mereka, ya walau gratis sih tapi begitu misal ISP offline atau masalah lainnya, dia bakal lgsg

I’m also running the deco m5 for close to 10 years as well. I have asked myself this same question many times before Answer. If you isn’t broken don’t fix it Unless cash isn’t an issue then go for it.

Tenho o antigo deco m5 (3 pontos) e já instalei deco em pelo menos 6 casas de 2 andares da família. Todo mundo satisfeito sem nenhum problema. Aqui em casa os decos estão cabeados entre si, mas nas outras não e funciona mto bem. Recomendo

Eu uso roteador da operadora com Wi-Fi desligado e Deco M5 com ethernet backhaul pra minha rede doméstica. Tenho uns switches burros pela casa pra fazer bifurcação e um switch semi-gerenciável no escritório pra ligar as máquinas via ethernet etc. Trabalho com TI, então fico pensando em tirar o equip
