Finally switched to TP-Link Deco

I did the same and moved to the same company (TP-Link Deco 7 Pro BE63 Tri-Band WiFi 7 BE10000). So happy with my internet/networking now without the weekly reboots I had automated with Google WiFi.

2GB/s Ports on Mesh? - Just got 2GB Fiber

If you have time, monitor eBay for BE63 (BE10000) or BE65 (BE11000)These have 4x2.5G ports. Sometimes they pop up for $300 per set of 3. If you buy only one, you can make it the main Deco.

Upgraded from 1g to 2g

I see what you're saying, but manual allocation is a bit dated for a WiFi 7 ecosystem. The Deco 7 Pro uses AI-driven QoS and SQM which handles the packet prioritization dynamically. Combined with MLO, the router can spread the load across 5GHz and 6GHz simultaneously. Even if I'm pulling 2Gbps on on

2GB/s Ports on Mesh? - Just got 2GB Fiber

Is the ISP-provided device actually a router, not an ONT (fiber modem)? Many people get confused by network terminology. Even if it is a router the routing functionality might be disabled, (known as Bridge Mode, IP Pass-Through Mode, or Bypass Mode) so you can use your mesh system as the router. If

Doubts About Investing in a New WiFi System

I can't imagine a 250m² home that would need 7 APs, even if using less efficient wall APs. What design goals and restrictions did you impose on the project? A 48-port switch also seems a bit overkill for a home this size, even if you saturated the home with Ethernet outlets. Finally, I wouldn't reco

Recommendation for SQM Router

What speed is your Internet plan? Are you on fiber or coax? What results are you getting for buffer bloat, both upload and download? Your buffer bloat results may have nothing to do with your router, and instead might be related to limited upload bandwidth or ISP network congestion. Buffer bloat mea

I have TP Link's Deco E4 for mesh network - what should I upgrade to?

Just got the TP-Link Deco 7 Pro BE63 from Amazon for 324 dollars and it works great. So much faster than my m5s. 3 of them cover my 4500 square foot house with high speeds.

Router / AP recommendations for house

Depends on your budget and internet speed. As an other poster said you’d want one AP per floor. Get a 3 pack of TP Link deco- X55 or X75 would be fine or if you want more future proof then BE63 or similar. Should be in the 200-500 euro range. Omada and Unifi are better solutions, require a bit more

Any suggestions?

While hard-wiring is ideal and preferred, a quality wifi7 mesh will provide good enough connections for gaming unless he's trying to stream while playing competitively in FPS or other twitchy games. OP, I was in the same boat as you until recently. I had an old PACE5268AC modem/gateway. Thing isn't

How much data is the average home users using?

2 adults and WFH. 5Gbps fiber connection, UCG-Fiber, and Flex 2.5G. Using 3 Deco BE63s with wireless backhaul (yeah I know, but it works well). 35 clients typically with 8 wired. 2850 sq ft house for coverage. One week total: 281.95 GB down / 53.42 GB up. Peak utilization is 3% hah. Price difference
