Archer AX55

Ive got an archer ax55 and its been great for over 2 years. The app is good too. You can also add extenders to create a mesh network which can be configured through the app.

Careful : some router, like the TP-Link AX55 advertise TimeCapsule protocol but still use the old AFP, which will be deprecated at the same time. And to be honest it just doesnt work as well as the TimeCapsule was. People are waiting for an update from TP-Link but no news as filtered.

IPv6 doesn’t have forwards. The IPv6 equivalent to UPnP merely creates allows in the IPv6 firewall itself. Or you make an allow rule for that port, arbitrary IP, explicitly in your router level firewall. Assuming the router can support such rules. (My Archer AX55 can’t)

Ah yep. Anything TP-Link will do you fine. You can pick up a TP-Link Archer AX55 AX3000 atm for around ~$160. Their app isn't too bad and most of their stuff is decent for the price.

I'm still experiencing this as of May 2025. I tried optimizing my connection on my end by enabling bridge mode and using my own router (TP-Link AX55). I also requested to be removed from CGNAT, which somewhat improved my connection.
