TP-Link Routers Could Be Banned In the Next Year, Affecting Nearly 65% of Internet Users in the US

Same. I just wonder how long I was vulnerable to being part of a botnet because I didn't know the AX21 specifically had such a big vulnerability until these recent articles. I don't use the TP Link app so I don't get firmware update notifications unless I happen to log into the router. I Also picked

Problems when changing DNS Address

Hi pi-hole community,

I've done some searching over the past hour to find out if anyone has run into the same issue. I'm either not finding anything or my limited tech knowledge is essentially blinding me to the answers. In short, please be easy on me if this has been asked/answered before.

TP-Link mesh help axe95 and ax21 how to

Based on the way TP-Link advertises this, I figure this would be an easy addition when I originally purchased my Archer AX21 2 years ago.

Downstairs office has always been a little slow as is the kitchen bar. Now I would like to improve using their easymesh or onemesh (It looks like AX21 support

Frontier ONT

Hi,

I'm wanting to use my own router (TP-Link AX1800 Archer AX21) instead of Frontier's provided router but for some reason when I connect to their ONT (Nokia G-240G-A) through the active port, I get no service. Even if I connect directly to my computer, again no service. It only works when conne

Can't get smart plugs to connect no matter what I do

I have had the same 4 smart plugs for some time now, and I've never had this much trouble getting them to work. Just moved, and now I have spectrum internet, so I went and ordered a new router (tp link archer ax21) and set it all up. Made a guest network for smart devices that's 2.4ghz only, just li

Massive 15.7 Tbps DDoS Hits Microsoft's Azure, Traced to Aisuru Botnet

I would love to go full self-hosted but realistically the best I can do in the near future is get a dd-wrt/openwrt compatible router that will let me better see and control what all those smart devices on my network are doing. The router I currently have, a tp link AX21, is actually somewhat infamou

2.4 GHz extremely slow, 5 GHz great on AX21 (aka AX1800)

I am seeing very slow speeds on the 2.4 GHz band. Speedtest shows in the low single digit Mbps. 5 GHz is around 500 Mbps.

What I've done to troubleshoot. Selected the 40 MHz channel width (based off other posts). Chose channel 11; as it seems 'quieter' using a WiFi Analyzer tool. Rebooted the route

Home Network

I have a motorola mg7700 modem/router combo with an Archer AX21 router. I changed the Motorola to bridge mode and disabled the WiFi radio for both 2.4 and 5. Everything seems to be good, but I continue experiencing lag spikes during video calls, which are essential to my job. Thoughts on other thing
