TP-Link router vulnerabilities found in Latvia
No, that's Netgear. TP-LINK is basically the target of the ban. The whole purpose is so that everyone but them gets an exemption to import new models. They have been having issues for years now with certain models with vulnerable factory firmware still out in the wild, especially in eastern Europe.

Question about buying a router for Virtual Desktop
dedicated router for Quest 3 does not need to be connected to your modem or the internet. You can connect a router directly to your PC via Ethernet (PC-to-router) to create a private, lag-free local network for VR. The PC will still use your AT&T WiFi for internet access, while the Quest uses the ne

I'm thinking of buying my own router for my apartment, do I need to buy security along with it?
Nah dude, you don’t need to waste money on one of those “network security plans.” Most consumer routers are fine right out of the box as long as you tweak a few settings. If you grab something decent in the $100–$150 range (TP-Link Archer AX21, ASUS RT-AX57, Netgear, etc.), just do this after settin

O driver dessas p

Best Router for Local Multiplayer VR?
Wi-Fi 6 I can personally vouch for the ASUS AX1800 or AX3000 routers. Avoid TP-Link and Huawei Wi-Fi '6' routers for VR gaming specifically, they're know to cause issues. Their Wi-Fi '6e' routers are fine though. In terms of connecting multiple headsets to the same router, do you mean you're playing

Altafiber and google nest
My advice: buy a TP Link Archer AX1800 for $60 on sale at Walmart. Over a gigabit WiFi 6 dual band. If you need tri band (unlikely) get the AX3000 for $70-80. Once you get it, connect it to your ONT’s output and test it out. If all good, call or chat with Altafiber to cancel the Nest WiFi router ren

Help choosing the right TP-Link mesh device?
I apologize if this question is answered somewhere on this sub I haven’t found. I’m new to TP-Link products (which I imagine many of you here are familiar with) and am a bit confused by the different product names and options for One Mesh, Easy Mesh, Deco, etc.
I recently bought my first TP-Link r

running VPN off router to only one device - possible?
Don't think it's possible with that router you have, check out a TP link ax1800, it's definitely not as good as some out there but i can guarantee you that you can individually select devices by the MAC address that you want to use the VPN. I only recommended this router because I have been using on

US conducting criminal antitrust investigation into TP-Link, Bloomberg News reports
Their products were involved in some pretty big botnet campaigns that targeted large companies like Microsoft. There's still a network of rogue AX21 routers, mostly in Europe that are actively attacking systems. They really ruffled the wrong feathers. FWIW, I think Tenda and Wavlink should be banned

WiFi 5 GhZ Doesn't Penetrate Thick Walls Well.
Hi OP big fan of your username. I am midway through season 2 right now. Right now the TP link ax1800 and another model are on Clearance at Home Depot for $25 and $22. You could add more and mesh them.
