Grinders that punch above their weight

I had to use my Timemore S3 manual coffee grinder for my espresso while I waited for a new grinder (my eureka had a part failure under warranty). I typically used it for my pour overs, and to my surprise, it made fantastic espresso as well. I don’t think it would be fine enough for light roasts, but

1zpresso Q air - How many clicks?

My Timemore S3 recommends setting between 0.5-2.0 for the moka pot, but my sweet spot has been 4.0-5.0, depending on the bean. Courser grinds help prevent bitterness, so it’s not uncommon to grind courser than what’s recommended.

Manual Handgrinders for 2026

I've been using the Timemore S3 as my main for pourover and can highly recommend! I've also used the C5 and C5 ESP as well and didn't have QA issues. Very versatile and punches way more than their price tags suggest.

Timemore 78s

If you’re not brewing more than 4-5 shots in a short period of time go with a 64s and use the extra money to get a separate grinder. Personally, I have a DF64 for the ES1 & a Timemore S3 for pour over. That way you don’t have to waste beans dialing in when switching back & forth. Eventually, I’ll sa

I have a Timemore S3 Esp grinder that works great for both espresso and pour over. It can grind much finer than I have ever needed it to, since I mostly grind at 23 clicks for espresso, plus or minus 3 clicks.
