Don't buy from Poppy and Peonies

While you’re boosting one Swedish company, also Thule. Their bags are awesome. A little more urban utilitarian. I have a chasm backpack & duffle. Both my partner and I also have a EnRoute.

What kind of designer came up with such an impractical design?

Its water/weather resistant Edit: Spray some scotchguard to the bag and the bottom of the bag as well (keeps the bottom slightly cleaner) The bag did it's job If you want a waterproof backpack then buy a truly waterproof backpack with a roll top closure and rubberized fabric Description of the Thule

Bouldering gym bag recommendations?

I have a small cloth laundry bag I got from a hotel years ago that I put my chalk bag in inside my Thule Chasm 30. Works great.

Colorful & Functional Backpack Recs Please!!

For truly functional... Try Cotopaxi, or THESE or THESE Rover Classics by Topo Designs. The Osprey Daylight 26+6 has a pretty enthusiastic fan base. Or Thule makes a few more low key, mild-colored laptop bags like the Aion, the Subterra 2 or the Chasm that are great bags, functionally.

Traveling Japan in early summer when the weather is nice setup

My backpack is a discontinued Karrimor model, so it's probably impossible to find. I think I’d prefer a simple backpack with just one compartment rather than one with side pockets. Also, you might already know this, but airline staff may consider thick shoulder pads or waist belts to be oversized ca
