Thinking about switching my storage from cloud to NAS

For photography where file sizes add up quickly, I’d recommend going with at least a 4-bay setup. I’m using the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus in my team, it supports four HDDs and three M.2 SSDs. I have the three M.2 drives set up in RAID 5, which gives pretty efficient storage utilization. With my curren

F6-424 as on offsite back up. Has TOS reputation improved?

The 424 series is a really good model. I have the F4-424 Max with a beta version of TOS 7 and I can tell you it's a very good pairing / system for the money. No need for TruSCALE or UnRAID. TOS 6 and or 7 will cover all the bases you mention in your post. As you mentioned, a six bay with Intel CPU,

Pulled the Trigger on a F2-425 Plus!

I got the F4-425 plus with 46tb of storage and an 18tb parity running unraid and it absolutely rips!

Need help with my Selfhosted setup

RAID isn’t a backup. It only protects against single drive failure. I run a layered setup: NAS HDDs for bulk storage, SSDs for hot data, plus a separate backup. My main storage is a TerraMaster F4-425 Plus with Seagate IronWolf in RAID. I use it mainly as a centralized storage node, not running many

is TOS always this janky or am I just.... doing something wrong?

I went straight to OMV and it’s been awesome. F4-425 Plus and it’s been rock solid as a file/media server. If anyone’s looking for a new OS give it a shot. It’s was a really easy install from a usb stick and setting up basic folder shares etc is really straightforward but if you want to get into con

TerraMaster's new flagship NAS is here. Wondering what the highlights are and how to get one for FREE? 🎁✨

I purchased the F4-425 Plus on launch day, October 21st. Overall, it's a fantastic value. I'm really impressed with everything included in the operating system. It's an absolute powerhouse of a private cloud and storage management system. The best part is the sleek interface that lets me manage ever

First Time NAS Setup for Photo Storage (20+ people)

I think at least a 4-bay setup would be suitable for 20 people. You might want to check out the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus. I’ve been using it with my team, and it supports up to 144TB, so there’s plenty of room to grow. It works well for multi-user access, and the OS is easy to use. I also like the TN

Recommendation for NAS Upgrade

I just went from a DS218Play to the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus. It’s awesome! 4 bays + 3 NVME slots, 2x 5gbps nics, 16gb of ram. TOS is fairly functional. Their App Store is a little limited but does everything I need.

Recommendations of NAS to backup my photography work?

I store all my photos and videos on a TerraMaster F4-425 Plus. It’s a 4-bay NAS with 3 M.2 slots, so there’s plenty of room to expand. It also has remote access, which makes it easy to edit or share files when I’m traveling. And its TOS 6 will send alerts (by system and email) if anything goes wrong

Is TerraMaster NAS a good choice?

I have a TerraMaster F4-425 Plus, mainly for home media and some file storage. It has been solid. It runs a few containers, streaming, and occasional transcoding without issues. RAID 5 also gives some nice flexibility on storage. TOS isn’t as smooth as Synology DSM, but it covers the basics like fil
