New to home server. Running Plex on my NAS feels awesome :)
I also got an F4-425 Plus about a month ago, though I mainly use it with Jellyfin. It's a bit different from Plex, but runs smoothly.

Is TerraMaster NAS a good choice?
I have and like the f4-425 plus. I think it’s great value. I’ve installed TrueNAS on mine since day 1. Synology absolutely has the most refined OS for user experience. TOS7 is in beta and surely coming out “soon”? Depends what you actually want out of your NAS. The terramaster is actually powerful e

4-bay NAS advice: UGREEN vs Terramaster for home backup + streaming
From my personal experience, if you’re aiming for something simple and stable without much tinkering, the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus is honestly a pretty solid choice. TOS feels more mature overall, and most of the core features (backup, file management, etc.) just work out of the box. They’re also rol

Best NAS for Varied Home Use
I was in a similar situation, and I went with a 4-bay NAS for future expansion and more stable performance. I’m personally using the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus at home with my PC as my main backup and storage setup, it’s been pretty solid. I also run Plex on it, and streaming has been smooth. I use bot

UNAS 4 - MARCH 2026 - PART II... yeah, theres more. it's the hardware too....
sigh it’s been over a week and support is still working on my case (escalated about 3 levels). I don’t blame the delay but the more I think about it the more I’m inclined to just get something else. This upcoming week will be almost a month since I made the purchase; so, I’m running out of time to d

Just grabbed an F6-424 Max on sale! Any tips for a first-time NAS setup?
I picked up a F4-425 Plus in September and it's been a learning curve. Some tips I picked up: Get an MVNE and use that as your system disk. Unfortunately those drives are crazy expensive now, so find a deal if you can. The 4TB I paid $300 on is over $750 now. #ThanksA.I. You can't have an MVNE pull

TerraMaster's new flagship NAS is here. Wondering what the highlights are and how to get one for FREE? 🎁✨
I purchased the F4-425 Plus on launch day, October 21st. Overall, it's a fantastic value. I'm really impressed with everything included in the operating system. It's an absolute powerhouse of a private cloud and storage management system. The best part is the sleek interface that lets me manage ever

F6-424 as on offsite back up. Has TOS reputation improved?
I have model F2-212 with TOS 5.1, it's older than TOS 6 but it does the job well. I just got this unit few weeks back, and exceeded all my expectations. Should have got it a long time ago. In my version, i can configure anything I want. I haven't done remote access which is what you want to do, but

Looking for good NAS for unraid for plex
Yep but if you can afford the F4-425 Plus then get that instead. The 425 is based on the older 11th Gen N5105 and the Plus uses the newer 12 Gen N150. The older unit is missing things like AVX2 which is needed by some software.
