4-bay NAS for home storage: TerraMaster F4-425 Plus vs UGREEN DXP4800 Plus?
Based on your needs, I’d say the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus is a decent option. The 2.5GbE network port makes transferring large photo and video libraries noticeably faster than standard 1GbE. Its CPU and RAM run Plex, Docker, and other services more smoothly than entry-level models. Setup is simple, w

F6-424 as on offsite back up. Has TOS reputation improved?
The 424 series is a really good model. I have the F4-424 Max with a beta version of TOS 7 and I can tell you it's a very good pairing / system for the money. No need for TruSCALE or UnRAID. TOS 6 and or 7 will cover all the bases you mention in your post. As you mentioned, a six bay with Intel CPU,

Best NAS for Varied Home Use
I was in a similar situation, and I went with a 4-bay NAS for future expansion and more stable performance. I’m personally using the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus at home with my PC as my main backup and storage setup, it’s been pretty solid. I also run Plex on it, and streaming has been smooth. I use bot

TerraMaster Store Sale!
I am having a hard time choosing between the F4-425Max and the new F4-425 plus.( which seems great bang for buck with standard dual 5GbE) The max only seems to Bring the 10GBE and CPU and you know they must be working on a. F4- 425 Max as well to be released soon.,

Tired of waiting for UNAS4 should i just buy F4-425 or F4-425 plus
Get the F4-425 Plus. I was, in the same boat as you and snatched the TERRAMASTER F4-425 plus during BF sale for $440. Specs comparison, the TERRAMASTER won hands down with dual 5 Gbps ports, 3x NVME for cache use, faster CPU & pre-installed/upgradable 16GB DDR5.

Recommendation for NAS Upgrade
I just went from a DS218Play to the TerraMaster F4-425 Plus. It’s awesome! 4 bays + 3 NVME slots, 2x 5gbps nics, 16gb of ram. TOS is fairly functional. Their App Store is a little limited but does everything I need.

Bought a Terra Master for TrueNAS and now reconsidering everything 🙃
I have the same TerraMaster F4-425 Plus and I get what you mean. For me, what mattered was getting a small, low-power NAS that can run 24/7 reliably. The F4-425 Plus has dual 5GbE and three M.2 slots, with a solid CPU and predictable thermals in a quiet, compact case. DIY probably can do the same, b

Need help getting started (what to buy, etc)
Yes, a NAS works well for video editing. I use a TerraMaster F4‑425 Plus with 3 M.2 slots. I keep active footage on the M.2 SSDs for faster read and write, and archive older footage on the HDDs. TerraSync can automatically sync folders between Windows, Mac, and the NAS, so finished project files in

First-Time NAS Buyer - Need Advice!
I've recently had my eye on the newly released TerraMaster F4-425 Plus. With its 16GB of DDR5 memory, three M.2 slots, and dual 5GbE network ports, this configuration is truly unique in the industry.
