Best Drip Coffee Maker

This is one question that doesn't seem to go away... Reddit has a serious hard on for the Technivorm Moccamaster, but I'm going to give you another recommendation - Bonavita. I own both, and both are SCA-certified and brew excellent coffee. However, the Bonavita wins for me for the following reasons

Joined the club - how to keep it warm for longer?

I have the thermal carafe KBT version and I actually brew into a chemex carafe because I feel like the moccamaster carafe makes the coffee taste metallic, which I don't like.

What the heck is this part - In the box of my new KBGT

I agree, broken support. My KBT (similar design) also fits flush) Luckily OP can contact moccamaster with these pictures and request a warranty replacement of the broken part.

Best drip coffee maker

Consumer reports had Cuisinart DCC-3200 as the top rated model with a 5 (out of 5) on brew performance. And this has Technivorms and Fellows on their list. Those get penalized on ease of use or ease of cleaning, or carafe handling, but also have 5 on their brew performance. I own the Cuisinart and w

Alternative Carafe for KBT

If this ends up being the only recommendation I'll probably buy it and update my posting with how it preforms. Thanks! Edit: I pulled the trigger on the Zojirushi. I will update the post with it's performance when it arrives in a week or so. Thank you all for the help :) and poo poo on Moccamaster f

Disappointed!

All of your gripes are 100% valid except number 1 which has already been explained. I would never pay full price for one and I had some buyer’s remorse at $200. The boiler part of the machine is solid but the ancillary parts are pure crap. People justify it saying it doesn’t matter. True. But crap c

grind size/coffee to water ratio

I'll probably get hate mail for this, but for me the Moccamaster produces uneven extraction. I can close my basket (KBT) so to "fix" the issue, I do 3 cups of water to 18g coffee, let it steep 4.5 minutes and drain into a mug. perfect eveytime :)

Help me decide between the Brazen and the Moccamaster!

Yes Technivorm needs to rethink the Moccamaster shower but I never had dry spots on my KBT. Ultimately I switched to an overly complex brew process but not because of dry spots.

fresh out the box ☕️🥰

Right. Regardless of which one you get, Its best to only make what you will drink in an hour or two. Then make another batch later. If you truly will have multiple people wanting coffee at random times per day and they won’t be drinking a whole or half pot within an hour I would go for a one cup typ
