HomeKit POE Camera?
Yeah, I have a wyze v3 mounted to my 3D printer and the reliability on that is not great. I’m obviously running a full Unifi stack incl the NVR so the choice for me was obvious. I have no experience with Reolink but everything I’ve seen/heard is positive. The Tapo cameras I have are all mains powere

"Ok google, lets chat"
I tried having a camera in the house and I just don’t trust it yet. I had my Tapo camera on a fixed area and last night it turned around by itself. Had to disconnect lol

Looking for a good wireless security camera system.
Have more than 20 TP-Link Tapo cameras, wireless, RTSP and writing to SD card as well. Cheap and works great but all related on your wifi configuration - I have several APs as the house is big so bandwidth is distributed among them.

Community Survey: Wildlife Detection & Intrusion Alert Wishlist
We've been using C460's for watching bats roost (our bats are rare and endangered) Great low light performance makes these way better than trailcams. Similar for predator control (possums, rats, mustilids) are killing a lot of new zealands wildlife every night. Tapo could do great things with this p

Tapo camera got hacked? How’s yours?
Security 101. Block the cameras from having access to wan. Bot nets can only reach your device if you are stupid enough to make them available on your wan. Tapo Cameras are fine, this is nothing more than user error. A camera that cannot be reached, cannot be hacked from the outside.

What capabilities do you wish your home security device or system had that it doesn’t have today, or could be improved?
I wish cameras had more flexibility of placement. Sometimes I would like to have a camera in a location where I don't have anything to hang it on at the optimal height and angle. Tapo cameras miss a lot when set up lower. Watching wildlife is a secondary purpose for our security cameras. I wish ther

What do you need your home security devices or system to do?
This is honestly a big deal for me too. The main thing that attracted me to Tapo is the ability to use their products with just a standard internet connection and the free Tapo app. Most things can be done without the need for a hub or a subscription. I like how I can use a Micro DS card with their

Let Us Know What You Think About Tapo’s Role in Your Home's Security
sorry to be that guy, but this is an international outreach post. Tapo's role in my home's security is about to be nil because the company is about to fail to comply with my country's (India) new policies. I am a user of 3 Tapo cameras, an H200 and a couple of smart sensors. If the cameras are no lo
