Why are there so many different models with such divers qualities and abilities? All the pictures on the Tapo website are so fake.

That’s a good question. Not sure how much AI the two C520WS and the C500 have. The C500 is and was quite dumb from the beginning. The firmware is really bad in my view and Tapo says I should buy a better camera. Frigate just made it smarter even the resolution is not enough so I might update anyways

Both of my C520WS V2s got a firmware update today. I tested both of them several times and they are acting just about as fast as my C325WB V1. Hopefully this will stay.
