Best split keyboard for newbie on macOS
Welcome! Yes, the ergo keyboard choices are overwhelming. This tour of split keyboards gives a quick overview of the sorts of hardware and firmware ergo features that split keyboards commonly have, which may help narrow down what does/doesn't interest you. For a newcomer, I suggest that a keyboard w

Hoping to find my unicorn of a keyboard: slightly ergonomic, silent tactile switches, 100% layout, full-height keys, with a wrist-rest, and which doesn't cost a fortune.
For those prices, you will absolutely have to build. I have little experience with 100% layout split boards, are you sure that's what you want? It seems like it would be rather difficult to craft unless you at least used a detached numpad, at least if you want it to be actually split in two. There m

Deep down the rabbit hole
I tried glove80 first for 6 months. I learned ortholinear layout. I didn't like the keywell. I liked the 6 thumb keys. I built Sofle with 6 thumb keys. Then I developed the thumb overuse injury and started to using home row mods. The layout was quite good but it was mx spaced and my thumb still didn

Thinking about a split ergonomic keyboard - Any cheap options to test?
IMHO, the Sofle is the easiest keyboard to transition to from a full keyboard. I was in the same boat and after much research decided on it. IMHO, the more keys the better as you learn what you need and what you don't. It's easy to just not use keys. I'm debating a cheap Ali Sofle Choc keyboard for

Should I go with the Voyager? Need advice comparing to "Keebart" Sofle Choc Pro and Corne Choc Pro - First splitted keyboard
I have the keebart sofle pro but without aluminium casing. I chose it instead of the voyager for the same reason, i live in germany and voyager would have costed around 420Euro and i payed 260 for keebart. I wish i payed 90 extra for the alu case to feel more premium. It is light and works very well

Please help me figure out why my Sofle from the ergomech.store is lagging
Oh hey, I thought you would be on vacation :o early happy Lunar New Year! Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't have the tools nor the skillset for that. The peak of my keyboard building skill is putting switches in the hot-swap socket. That's why I chose to buy the Sofle Hybrid from your store. It

What would you say are the most "intuitive" and beginner friendly split keyboards?
Sofle is the go to beginner / fits all build imho. If you want to buy a sofle-like that you can assemble, check out Levels https://ergokeyboards.com/products/levels54-ergonomic-keyboard?variant=51184404529434 Any of the 52-60 key ergos will work fine. I don’t recommend a lily58 because the thumb clu

Using an ortholinear keyboard as a stepping stone to a split ortho board?
Unfortunately it's a rabbit hole as there are a lot of split orthos. If you like a columnar split Ortho I think a Helix would be good. However if you want a staggered-column Ortho a lily 58 or sofle may be better. Then there are what I call reduced key split orthos... Basically your choosing of layo

The Go60 could've looked so much better
I want this keyboard very badly! My ergo journey: Generic staggered split w membrane switches on a single board and a bigass enter with PS2 connector. I used the hell out of this one until it finally gave up the ghost. Kinesis Advantage 2. Could never get used to the keywells. Mistell Borroco MD600.

Your Lily58/Corne keyboard after long run - Would you do it again?
Trying to answer your questions:- was it worth it ? 100%. Moving to split mechanical keyboard isn't something you'll regret, and you can get some for much cheaper than 200 euros.- How long was the learning curve? Honestly, much shorter than I thought. I started with a Sofle so it wasn't that disrupt
