I'm sure someone here will give you a much more detailed answer, but you should easily be able to cover a house that small with a single router. My older Synology RT2600ac covered my entire two story 2600sq. ft. house plus my yard with no problem. Your garage may be far enough away that a wired AP c

It's been about 2 years since I ran a RT2600ac as my main router, but mine was fine up to what one would expect from 1G and from an ISP (in the 900s).

I agree with the enshittification. My RT6600ax covers less area than the RT2600ac it replaced. So a bit disappointed. That and the removal of features has me considering leaving the platform. My home experience led directly to my using them for my business use. We used to look for new vendors when t

This. R650s are not cheap but well worth the money. Went from a Synology RT2600AC to two R650s (one at front, the other at the back) to cover a two story 2000sqft detached, and a basement. Lot size 40x115. Amazing coverage end to end.

Also. Is it true that my only options for access points are the Synology WRX560 and RT2600ac? Add RT6600ax and RT2200ac to the list. I never have used the WRX560, but I have meshed two RT6600ax, plus RT2600ac and RT2200ac together. RT1900ac is a NO GO. The problem with the RT1900ac is that it won't

I came from using a Synology RT2600AC in a little larger single floor house. I think it actually provided slightly better coverage than my U7 Pro. I don't know how the 560 compares but you may not be gaining anything coverage wise with the switch if you plan on only one AP and may actually lose. It'

I'm a Synology fanboy with a NAS, RT2600ac, and (2) MR2200 units as wired mesh nodes. They server me very well and I'm quite familiar with their web-interface(s). One thing that is very important to me is compatibility with HomeKit. With proper settings, Synology SRM works well with it. I'd love to

There are some interesting comments here! I've run two Synology RT2600ac routers (in two different residences) for several years now. They just sit there and work - I've never had a serious issue with them. My usage profile is typical consumer - about three dozen devices on each home network, but no

I had RT2600ac corrupt s couple of USB sticks with threat prevention. So I bought a small SSD (128Gb) and an SSD enclosure.

I have had my UDR7 for about 8 months now. It replaced a Synology RT2600ac. I was going to just upgrade to a RT6600ac and stay with what had worked well. Glad I didn't. The UDR7 is so much more. It is like the big iron stuff I use to use at work only pared down for home use. I love it. VLANs firewal
