N150 are they really that good?
A N150 PC is head and shoulders above a Synology NAS for running Plex Media Server. Use a Syno NAS for storage, but run PMS on a different system. The N150 is a more powerful CPU than the Intel Celerons or AMD Rxxxx CPUs used by Synology. Furthermore, the Intel Graphics in the N150 is more capable t

Is this NAS still worth it
Way too old, and do NOT shop for new Synology. Last generation is basically Synology's "death date". People are going "what the fuck is this dude going on about?" Well, I'm going on about Synology requiring the use of their own branded HDDs and NVMEs moving forward just to access basic features. So

First NAS + Local AI Setup — Synology vs UGREEN vs Others?
Yeah, it feels like Synology has taking a step back from wanting to be the best nas manufacturer for consumers. Their focus definitely seems to be on software only. Most of their models are quite dated, but with that said, they seem to run a long time. Their naming nomenclature ends with the year th

How long have you spent on your NAS ?
What I would do differently:Purchase a NAS with an intel CPU that has QuickSync on chip for transcoding my media. I had found a good deal on Synology DS1522+ with AMD CPU and only realized a week later that I needed a transcoder. I then purchased an Intel NUC with a 16 core 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM

Help with Decypharr filter for directories
recyclarr with TRaSH guides to define you quality control. If you want separate 4k/1080 libraries you will need separate sonarr/radarr instances. Also I reccomend getting a miniPC synology sucks. I have a ds1522+ and am so happy I bought a minipc to run this stuff instead
