Need urgent advice before I pull the trigger
OP, go out there and try out the chair rather than just buying it. Of course the price is very less, but sit, take a feel for 15 to 20 minutes, understand how does your back adjust to the chair. I made the mistake of buying a Steelcase Leap V2 recently because it was coming at a good price. I had te

Used Steelcase Please V2 for about 350€
Asked a steelcase seller and they seriously told me 1D/3D/4D were all "padded". Considering the material looks different than the leaps on marketing pictures, I guess theyre as bad as the 3D ones

My workchair has given mecostochondritis, recommend me a chair.
It is genuinely excruciating lol, I can't move my right arm in certain ways without some serious pain. Thanks for the suggestions! I am checking out refurbed humanscale freedoms as well. I used to have a refurbed steelcase leap but they are super expensive now, kicking myself for chucking mine when

Help me pick a chair. Please. I am going insane.
1st step I would always recommend finding a way, or a position where you can sit long hours comfortably without any pain. For me, it's my car front seat. Analyzing the elements that makes sitting painless in my car, I managed to find the chair that allows me to sit like I sat on my car seat. So what

Embody vs Aeron vs Steelcase leap v2 or other alternative
Honestly you really need to test these chairs in a showroom to know if it's good I recently went to one to test different chairs and found out the embody is the most uncomfortable chair I have ever had the misfortune of sitting on, but the aeron on the other hand I can completely understand why it's

Haworth Zody
You can get something like a tried and true Steelcase Leap V2, Amia, or a Herman Miller Mirra 2 in like-new condition, and with a long warranty for $275-$350 from a reputable reseller, so I would say no to $400. My experience with Haworth is with the Soji, which is a tier under that chair. I would p

Picked up a Steelcase Gesture on FBMP for $90!
I know the Aeron's are supposed to be one of the best, but they just look so rigid to me! They seem like a really solid option for people that are chill enough to stay fairly still, but just the look of them makes me feel stir crazy. That one was never really on my radar for that reason. The only HM

I own the two popular chairs in this sub
How would you really know it's better than the Omni unless you've tried both? Unlike you, I have both chairs, and the Leap v2 sucks lol. I agree that Steelcase is a proven company with years of good customer support, and that the Omni is from a company with sketchy customer service. This is complete

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?
Funny, I shopped around for months to find a "great" high end office chair. I eventually bought a Steelcase leap v2 for like $1700 CAD, and while the material quality is way better, for comfort I would way rather have my old $300 piece of shit Staples chair back. The staples chair fell apart after l
