Looking for the Best Office Chair for Lower Back Pain Mainly
Does adjustable lumbar really make that big of a difference? Yes. I'd say this one is worth it, it is a major touch-point on a chair. How firm should the seat be for long term comfort? Slightly "too firm" if buying new, since it will soften over time. Just right if buying used. Are headrests worth i

$500 to upgrade your work setup what are you buying?
You can often get decent models refurbished for around this or cheaper. I bough a couple of Steelcase Leap chairs a few years back which had been cleaned up, with new armrests, foam and fabric for $400 each. It was from a company which buy up office chairs and refurb them, I’m assuming they get them

Chair
Ok thanks! Unfortunately, with your budget it's almost impossible to find a good ergonomic chair. Stretching your budget can try merryfair chairs, they have showroom and a website to agak2 see how much are their chairs. Haven't personally tried it but heard good things. Highly recommend you go to th

Best Office Chair Brand Right Now In 2026?
It’s a bit frustrating reading through these replies, because it feels like people are just operating on auto-pilot and giving the default subreddit answers without actually reading the post. The OP explicitly stated their Steelcase foam cushion went flat, they are tired of it, and they specifically

Realised how bad gaming chairs are
One of us, one of us! I personally recommend finding a steelcase leap (second hand on FB marketplace due to their price tag) and avoid literally anything that includes the word "gaming" in the title , as they're just a cheaper version of a good item marketed towards the hobbyists. A solid office cha

(Offeco napriklad, odtial som kupoval ja Steelcase Leap V2, k

Any place to try out higher end office chairs in or near Indianapolis?
It is wild to me that Office Furniture stores hours are 8-5. Guess what hours the people who use these office chairs are. . . I'll wait. You would think they could pick 1 or 2 days a week to stay open later or just like 1 Saturday a month. I get that most if not all of their business is through mass

Herman miller vs Steelcase?
It's hard to say just cause they're all good. It depends on your build too. It's all a matter of opinion. I've tried the Aeron and a few of the Steelcases. Aerons mesh back is probably the best in terms of pure comfort. I also like the ability to rock in an Aeron whereas the steelcase is more of a f

What's something you refused to believe until it happened to you?
Herman Miller Aeron or Steelcase Leap chair. Both are readily available on the secondhand market and are both excellent chairs built for full workdays. Replacement parts are readily available for both.

I went to a showroom and turns out the Herman Miller wasn't great for ergonomics
To each their own. I’ve been in a Steelcase Leap V1 for nearly 30 years and it essentially disappeared from my conscious thought after about the first week. Once initially adjusted It’s just … my chair. I made one “tilt back” firmness adjustment post pandemic (when I managed to drop 60 lbs of COVID
