How many of you use the steelcase leap? (I’m 5’7” and have some upper and lower back pain) looking at getting one that I found on sale brand new!
Bought brand new last year. Had to wait a month as the chair was on made to order. There is a local steelcase factory locally here. Paid 50% off than the retail price, it was on promotion. I hate it. Same height as you. The recline is not smooth, but you can feel a bit of its plasticky friction as y

Going insane trying to find a good chair.
Buying a chair is honestly like buying a shoes. You really never know until you sit in one. That said,.consider the height/weight of the person you are getting the feedback from. I am 6'3 and 200 lbs, I didn't like the Gesture. My wife is 4'11 and ~100 lbs, she loves it. Pros: The build quality is t

Going to pull the trigger on embody, fern, leap or something?
At 6'2" 280lbs more-torso-than-legs, the Embody is probably your best of the three, but for specific reasons most posts don't mention. Embody's pixel back conforms to body shape better than the Fern's bionic-frame back, which assumes a more average torso width. People with broader shoulders or back

Was it a good deal? 40€
Is it a good deal? Yes Is it a great chair? It's ok, but no, not really. It's borderline between an ergonomic office chair and a task chair. This is entry level Steelcase and would usually be used in places like a boardroom where you will be using it for a limited time only. Not somewhere that you w

Struggling to find a chair for 6'4", 286 lbs — Any recommendations?
I’m almost exactly your size and have lower back problems. I’ve had a Leap v2 Plus for a few years now, and unfortunately it’s been terrible. Honestly, it’s too wide (even when I was 100lbs heavier) and doesn’t feel supportive. I also saw Sihoo, they have a new chair that released this week, but inf

Leap v2 warped back. Return it?
Leaps are well known for this unfortunately. They will naturally look slightly assymetrical because of the lumbar adjustment being assymetrical. Steelcase says that's normal and they tell you that once you learn into the chair you won't feel it, HOWEVER many if them do twist/warp over time and you D

Help with picking chair for petite with lower back & upper trap pain
I'm 5 ft and lightweight, and recently purchased a Lamia from Offeco (that's LeapV2 frame with Amia seat with 4D armrests). I was highly disappointed from the moment I sat on it. That said, I've only been testing it for less than a week. Here's my little review if that helps: -The chair's height ran

Steelcase Leap v2 is not for me, what next?
Omg, reading this post felt like a mirror. I have very similar body height and, in my opinion more importantly, weight as you. I tried both the Leap v2 and Gesture but suffer from the exact same problem of the lumbar feeling too pronounced and getting sciatica pain in my right leg. It feels so nice

Looking for a new chair as a tall person
I'm 190cm and tried a lot of chairs and the best fit I could find was the Haworth Fern (with an Atlas Headrest if you want to learn). Everything else I tried the seat pad was too short for my thighs and/or the backrest felt too short. If you want to try the Aeron, you'd be a size C. I liked the seat

Is my Aeron B too small for me?
I fully agree. There is a leap in quality from Sidiz to any of the 3-4 big chair brands (Steelcase, Haworth, HM and Humanscale). Just like I believe the T50 is a big leap from the previous "cheap" level (Ikea Markus and Jarv, and those are a big leap from everything else big box or "gaming" chairs).
