Ergonomic mesh office chairs are overrated

Not all ergonomic chairs are created equal. You actually have to adjust the chair to your body and sit properly. No chair works for everyone. Herman Miller Aeron is great for me, but a Mira 2 kills my back, and I hated the Steelcase Leaps they had at my last job. Ergonomic chairs are not supposed to

I bought a Steelcase Leap but quickly realized the Aeron would’ve been better for how much I fart in my chair. The mesh is more aerodynamic

I have the SE and the Pro. You can ask me specific questions.

I'm not tall at 5 foot 6, but heavy at over 200 pounds so which model should I get for seat bottom comfort without bottoming out or hurting my ass and what seat bottom depth should I choose? Does the pro or maxis have a thicker seat bottom than the se? I know my steelcase leap v2 not only murders my

If you work from home 8+ hours, what chair are you using?

Anthros V2 7-10 hours a day I would absolutely buy it again. Best chair I've ever owned after trying Steelcase Leap V2, Hon Ignition, Herman Miller Aeron, Herman Miller Embody, and the Libernovo Omni. Very noticeable difference in back and neck, but mostly in pelvis, as I no longer get tailbone pain

What did you think was pretentious, until you tried it and realized it was worth it?

Paid $350 for a used Steelcase Leap when a local office was liquidating and my sciatica has gotten so bad since then. I often switch to my $20 Walmart office chair until my lower back calms down and my hamstrings start hurting instead. One day I'll try for another expensive chair, but it's just a sh

My last chair died in under a year so I’m really hoping this one survives.

My main issue with the “standard office chair” design like Herman millers, steelcase, etc.. is not all of us sit in an office like upright posture 24/7. A lot of us use our chairs like a couch.. for work, for gaming, for lounging watching movies. I sit with my foot up underneath me frequently, cross
