Ergonomic mesh office chairs are overrated

Not all ergonomic chairs are created equal. You actually have to adjust the chair to your body and sit properly. No chair works for everyone. Herman Miller Aeron is great for me, but a Mira 2 kills my back, and I hated the Steelcase Leaps they had at my last job. Ergonomic chairs are not supposed to

I bought a Steelcase Leap but quickly realized the Aeron would’ve been better for how much I fart in my chair. The mesh is more aerodynamic

Looking for my first non gaming chair and these are the two I’ve seen so far that are affordable enough for me if anyone has any different recommendations let me know

I sometimes wonder if there's a PR campaign going on. Maybe not the majority of comments but perhaps a fair bit to influence the group-think. Just speculation though. Personally I found the top brands to be underwhelming. Sitting on Steelcase Think and before Okamura Baron (Japanese premium brand),

Help me pick a chair. Please. I am going insane.

1st step I would always recommend finding a way, or a position where you can sit long hours comfortably without any pain. For me, it's my car front seat. Analyzing the elements that makes sitting painless in my car, I managed to find the chair that allows me to sit like I sat on my car seat. So what

Picked up a Steelcase Gesture on FBMP for $90!

I know the Aeron's are supposed to be one of the best, but they just look so rigid to me! They seem like a really solid option for people that are chill enough to stay fairly still, but just the look of them makes me feel stir crazy. That one was never really on my radar for that reason. The only HM

Leap v2 warped back. Return it?

Leaps are well known for this unfortunately. They will naturally look slightly assymetrical because of the lumbar adjustment being assymetrical. Steelcase says that's normal and they tell you that once you learn into the chair you won't feel it, HOWEVER many if them do twist/warp over time and you D

Help with picking chair for petite with lower back & upper trap pain

I'm 5 ft and lightweight, and recently purchased a Lamia from Offeco (that's LeapV2 frame with Amia seat with 4D armrests). I was highly disappointed from the moment I sat on it. That said, I've only been testing it for less than a week. Here's my little review if that helps: -The chair's height ran

Steelcase Leap v2 is not for me, what next?

Omg, reading this post felt like a mirror. I have very similar body height and, in my opinion more importantly, weight as you. I tried both the Leap v2 and Gesture but suffer from the exact same problem of the lumbar feeling too pronounced and getting sciatica pain in my right leg. It feels so nice

What are the best chairs on the market with a headrest that a tall guy can buy?

What you wanted to hear: Had an Aeron with atlas headrest at 250lb and 6ft. I feel you need a size c for tall people to feel comfortable because you want width to manspread. In the end, I don't think it was good for my sitting posture because the neutral position didn't really force my back into an

Is my Aeron B too small for me?

I fully agree. There is a leap in quality from Sidiz to any of the 3-4 big chair brands (Steelcase, Haworth, HM and Humanscale). Just like I believe the T50 is a big leap from the previous "cheap" level (Ikea Markus and Jarv, and those are a big leap from everything else big box or "gaming" chairs).
