Chair
i bought it off brand new from carousell, it came in a box sealed and had to self assemble which was retalively easy. the irony is i had to buy the headrest separately after a couple months saved at retail price at around 700 also. goes to show how much i love the chair, so total around rm1400 for b

Steelcase amia validity + opinions
I like Steelcase's 4D arm rests (adds pivot to height, width, and depth), and because I was able to test them thoroughly in my office, it seemed like a good choice. I considered the Gesture, but it was too expensive. Also, reliable second-hand/refurbished options for Steelcase chairs in Canada was (

I don't fit well in a Crandall Steelcase Leap V2
Yea unfortunately they don't get longer with the leap Plus, just wider. I moved to a Haworth Fern for a longer seat pad and a taller back, but the build quality is considerably worse than the Steelcase. I don't think this chair would support your weight. Haworth Soji XL is rated for 600lbs but it's

Tall people—what office chairs actually fit without feeling cramped?
6'2 here, spent way too long switching chairs before realizing the “tall person solution” is mostly about geometry, not branding. What actually helped was locking in seat depth so my knees aren’t hanging off and making sure the backrest supports my shoulders instead of just my lower back. The Steelc

Best office chairs to look for second-hand, what models should I learn to identify?
Here’s what I’d say: Focus on the “big three” and some of their common well received products. This means: Haworth Zody Very Soji Fern Herman Miller Sayl Aeron Embody Mirra Steelcase Leap Amia Think Gesture There are lesser “second tier” brands like Hon, SitOnIt, Allsteel, HumanScale, Knoll, and man

Need help deciding between these options
I'd go with the Leap V2 out of that list. It has the best overall ergonomics, build quality, and adjustability. The only downside is the seat foam, which is a bit firm but aside from that, it's easily the best chair in that group. The Amia does have slightly better seat foam, and it's still a solid
