SV08

It was a great feeling that immediately after assembling my Sovol SV08 Max I had successfully printed something where as my CR-10 S5 took disgusting amounts of effort to print anything even bad quality and still required upgrades to get marginally better results.

The sv08 is a great second printer, it can be difficult as a first. Take a look at the elegoo CC2. Can use orca slicer with it which works great on Linux natively.

Good luck. My sv08 out of the box was printing a lot better then my Voron 2,4 I built myself. After swapping parts , modifying configs, videos, guides and days and days of work now the Voron prints fast and reliable. But the sv08 does it too, and with a lot less effort. I've had the SV08 since it launched and the comments you listed are correct. Only other things I'm going to add are an R3Men or Voron bed if desired and Demon Klipper Essential macros to make things easy

I also recently bought a SV08 Max, but I'm not worried. Don't think the teased model will be as large. Also, I think it is likely that someone will figure out a way to upgrade our SV08 Max printers with INDX!

Well you're certainly never going to beat the upgradeability of a Voron. But in most other ways... It sounds like you want to go with the SV08. As an original SV08 user who had to overhaul his system. New bed, new toolhead etc. Very glad to hear Sovol now selling a usable product that users can enjoy from first assembly.
