Is the new Sovol a good option to kick start the Voron journey?

I wouldn't go as far as to tell them to go fuck themselves. Their designs are entirely published on their Github repository, the SV08 is even licensed under GPL v3.0. This is far and beyond what any other companies have made (looking at you, Creality and modern Prusa). That being said, at least the

Bbl labs and pruna user calls $10 working Ender 3 ewaste due to not newest hardware

I have a much faster, much better, much more capable SV08 yet my ender 3 is still churning out functional print after functional print with its .6 nozzle like its still the new kid on the block. It's slow sure but after 20 bucks of fan upgrades it's dead silent and reliable. Easy as pie to repair or

SV08 Nightmare - DO NOT BUY!!!

Man sucks you had a bad experience. Personally I love my sovols. I have two SV08, one older and one newer gen. The newer gen fixed the taco bed problem and the shroud popping off. But overall it’s a great printer for the money. Make sure you have the latest updates and profiles.

Six weeks of research and I’ve somehow talked myself out of every printer I was originally considering

I use several printers, mk3.5, core one, P1P, H2S, Sovol SV08MAX, (will soon add a Sovol ZERO) The cheapest solution, not repair but upgrade the mk3, you can convert the mk3 into a mk3.5: https://www.prusa3d.com/product/original-prusa-i3-mk3s-to-mk3-5s-upgrade-kit-5/ This calls 279€ no einsy MCU nee

Im ready!! ...and doubtful. Advice?

I modded my sv08 into a stealthchanger and replaced the mainboard with a btt kraken. The first thing you should upgrade imo is the dinky 150w psu with something like the lrs350-24. I think upgrading the mainboard is worth it because the stock board is cheap af, and you will save yourself from a lot

H2S is Coming!

I backed the U1 simply because snapmaker is a well established company. Did the same with the Sovol SV08 Max. I’m also really looking forward to fitting the Bondtech INDX on the SV08 Max. I can only imagine how many extrusion heads I’ll be able to fit in that thing. (Slaps roof)

M1D essential and advanced prices

I print ASA-CF at 280 and PC-CF at 290, but i am still testing if i have better layer adhesion with PC-CF at over 300°C Remove multiple color and add multiple material For PC you should have 110-120°C What exponentially increased the price and lowered max speed and input shaping is the idex, totally

What is the best 3D printer under/around $1000?

SV08. Remaining $350-500ish assigned to couple upgrades (hotend, enclosure, extruder. With enough intention on top of that, it can totally blast out any machine hands down. IMO.

Coming from P1S, advice/pros and cons for the SV08 3D Printer

I'd say a SV08 greatly benefits from Mainline + Eddy + Triangle Labs or Microswiss Hotend. This with some good macros gets you 90% of the way. Then f.e. a case + chamber heating for some more challenging filaments like ABS/ASA or similar. Lastly INDX or Stealthchanger if you want multimaterial.
