6.3MP, 20 Years Old. Not award-winners but proof good L-glass always wins!
I’m using a Sony a5000 with a Tamron 70-300mm. I’m happy with the images I’m getting, but the a5000 has no view finder, only the digital screen, and the autofocus is pretty bad.

Best camera for museum inventory photo-taking?
At that budget a used Olympus TG-6 or TG-7 are about the only recent cameras I can think of that do acceptable macro photography. The JJC ring led attachment and flash attachments can help with lightning as well. They are not the greatest cameras due to the small sensor but punch above their weight
