Is it safe to buy used FX3?

Well...I'd buy insurance too if you do. I picked up a used FX-30 (not the same, I know) and within a month all the physical buttons died. I could control the camera from the app, but no amount of software reset, new cards, or anything else would fix it. Sony was suggesting I send it to them. I just

FX2 Camera Debate

I think Sony has actually been listening to feedback. Let me explain. I bought the FX3 as soon as it came out, at first people didn’t like it, they were upset it was a more expensive version of the a7siii with an audio handle. Later people praised the design, usability, and look of the FX3 and the a

FX3/NAB News

Sony not creating an FX-3II is a big mistake. Nikons ZR will have the ZR pro version, will blow FX-30 away. LUMIX has some super video cams, then kineinfinity now, really interesting. Canon just came out with something… Sony is great, I’m a Sony shooter. Though for video maybe something else.

Not sure where this fits in…. #sonyfx2

The price is laughable considering this is a glorified A7IV that's priced significantly more. Still no open gate, only 4K60 at S35 crop in 2025? Especially considering Lumix just dropped the S1ii e which is more comparable in price to an A7IV but gives you internal ProRes Raw, 32bit float audio, 6K

Zoom for BMPCC4K?

I'm actually using the OG BMPCC and Micro Cinema cameras (I have two of those), so my speedbooster wouldn't work on your camera. I also have a Sony FX30, which is Super 35/APS-C, and I actually use a Metabones speedbooster on that as well, mainly because I have full-frame lenses apart from the Sigma

Camera recommendation

Sony FX-30 just for apsc lens selection. Note that it doesn’t have a mech shutter and can’t do flash afaik. You can still take photos.

Sony Announces Their 10K Global Shutter Sensor

But why would a Sony FX2 or FX30 would need like 61MP as the a7cr, when it‘s insisted purpose is video? 4k60fps should be the standard, maybe 120fps or even 8k for future use since it‘s still not THE standard in consumer market TV‘s, unlike 4K. Anything bigger just consumes too much power to scale/r

I bought the FS7M2, and I’d say I’m happy with it.

Vendí todas mis cámaras Sony: la FX-3, FX-30, ZV-1 y estoy feliz sin ellas. Solo me queda un lente Sony 24-70mm F2.8 GM II.

My friend is considering buying a 2nd fX3, but I wanted him to consider getting an fx30.

Because most people buy things due to marketing gimmicks and listening to YouTubers. “They are both cinema line” so they must be complimenting each other well. As I said earlier, just by looking at Siii owners not ever considering the a6700 as a B cam is a clear answer to why the fx30 was never supp
