An S1ii costs less than an FX3 and outperforms it. If I didn't have Sony glass I'd take that over an FX3 or FX30 any day (I'm still shooting Sony with over 1k paid gigs done on an a7siii/FX3 so not a Panasonic shill, just being objective)

The FX3 has a lower MP sensor with larger pixels which reduces rolling shutter and can record in basically any framerate. The FX3's image will look better. Personally, I take Lumix cameras over Sony

They can improve sensor readout, update autofocus with their latest AI tracking, improve IBIS, implement open gate, they recently filed patents for internal NDs with extremely small form factor that could possibly be implemented, as well as 32-bit float and an improved audio tophandle. You get the viewfinder and camera similar to your current without paying an extra 1000+ because of pure “hype”. Small rig is perfectly fine if you need cage because the people I know with fx3
