FX30 or FX3 or something else?

An S1ii costs less than an FX3 and outperforms it. If I didn't have Sony glass I'd take that over an FX3 or FX30 any day (I'm still shooting Sony with over 1k paid gigs done on an a7siii/FX3 so not a Panasonic shill, just being objective)

A7V - Discussion

Hmm nikon and lumix seem more relevant in a number of ways. Sony is still all about a7siii and fx3/6.

Considering trading FX6 for FX3

And now you have FX3 owners ready and willing to swap for what you have. You might be going from STEAK to LIVER but it’s your use case and portability needs that you must consider. Just showing up with an FX6 somewhere trumps walking in with an FX3 and some lower end REDs 😂. You’ll be perceived to b

Is FX3 better than Sony A7V?

The FX3 has a lower MP sensor with larger pixels which reduces rolling shutter and can record in basically any framerate. The FX3's image will look better. Personally, I take Lumix cameras over Sony

Not sure where this fits in…. #sonyfx2

Oof. The EVF is cool but I can’t believe they’re choosing this sensor and these specs in 2025. No open gate is inexcusable IMO. And this is coming from someone who likes Sony cameras — own an FX3/6

FX3/NAB News

I disagree. They can improve sensor readout, update autofocus with their latest AI tracking, improve IBIS, implement open gate, they recently filed patents for internal NDs with extremely small form factor that could possibly be implemented, as well as 32-bit float and an improved audio tophandle. Got a7sii and want to upgrade but… a7siii or fx3

I’ll be frank. Get siii The overheating thing isn’t an issue with a7siii. Like you have to be in the desert. You get the viewfinder and camera similar to your current without paying an extra 1000+ because of pure “hype”. Small rig is perfectly fine if you need cage because the people I know with fx3

Hell no. If it's $3,300+ and doesn't do uncropped 4k60 AT LEAST they shouldn't even release it or they should fix it with firmware or drop the price considerably. It's gonna bomb immediately and you might as well just get an FX3 at that point. How tf is a newer screen, newer chip, AI autofocus, and

Bluetooth/WiFi malfunction after new update

The newer firmware versions can break wireless and audio features on a subset of Sony cameras. These issues have impacted the A7S III, FX3 and other Sony models. It seems that Sony changed key hardware components during production. The newer firmware versions don't fully support cameras with the alt

FX3 price drop is inevitable right?

I think you’re missing my point. Everything you said about Sony workflows is true, but it doesn’t actually address the argument I’m making. Of course productions built around Sony pipelines will prefer Sony cameras. That’s how every ecosystem works. You could make the exact same argument for RED, AR
