I’ll be frank. Get siii The overheating thing isn’t an issue with a7siii. Like you have to be in the desert. You get the viewfinder and camera similar to your current without paying an extra 1000+ because of pure “hype”. Small rig is perfectly fine if you need cage because the people I know with fx3

Would add that most who rig an FX3 also have to add a cage, as the FX3 1/4 20 threads lack Arri locating points. It also lacks NATO, or a bottom Arca plate. Not sure what you are shooting but maybe rent a panel van that provides mobile cover? Maybe add a long lens to your kit if you don't have one (the Sony 70-200 2.8 is great). I wouldn't bring my fx3 into 8hrs of mud and rain without solid cover.
