FX3 or A7V as someone transitioning from photos to video

Honestly the X-H2S is a great camera and in some ways has a better image/video specs than either Sony (open gate, 6K, ProRes or high data rate H265, great color). The biggest improvement you’ll notice is autofocus (Fuji AF is terrible) but the lenses are bigger and more expensive. If you do get a So

FX3/NAB News

I disagree. They can improve sensor readout, update autofocus with their latest AI tracking, improve IBIS, implement open gate, they recently filed patents for internal NDs with extremely small form factor that could possibly be implemented, as well as 32-bit float and an improved audio tophandle. Canon C80/C400 vs FX3/FX6

Shooting a basketball doc right now with the C400, C50, and the Komodo X sometimes. The C400 and C50 are magic together and I assume the c80 as well. The codecs are beefy, the image is instantly gorgeous, and the bodies are miles above the fx6/fx3 for flexibility. The canon cinema cameras let me sho

FX3 or R6V

If you do want to shoot Sony and need to buy something now I'd get an A7V. More detailed image, better AF, better screen, better stabilization than FX3 for under $3000

Is the upgrade from fx30 to fx3 worth it?

I have an FX3, FX30, A7V and A7IV and I’d say go for the A7V. A7V has better AF better, better Ibis, is cheaper, sharper image, allows you to import viewing luts, better screen, allows smart AF while in clear image zoom. 8000 base ISO is a lot more practical then 12,800 and having to ND or stop down

$6000 125 hour Weapon Kit

As a person working with the Komodo og and an FX3 I totally feel you about the autofocus. Didn't had the chance to try the Dji focus pro, was it that bad? I honestly like the image from the Komodo way more than the Sony. But pragmatism...

what camera should i buy?

i’ve been down this road with hybrid shooting. the FX3 is incredible for cinema but photos feel like an afterthought. the ZV-E1 is video-first with a lower-res sensor. honestly the Sony A7V with 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II gives you 33MP for pro photos and the same AI autofocus as FX3. i’d grab that kit and

My arms are heavy, mums spaghetti - How do I improve my Livestream Setup?

thanks again for the info! as you might noticed, I'm not a gimbal guy. For my recorded stuff I'm using my FX3 more in a docu style rig. (i like handheld more in general) Since these type of streams will happen more with the new client, I have a reason to actually invest money for a gimbal. sadly son

Returning my FX30 - What's the right upgrade from GH5 for event/social media work?

You are me... Shot on the GH5 with 18-35 for years. Love the image and set up, DPs and producers thought I was shooting on a Red. But it obviously has some limitations. I got hired for a project that for me justified an upgrade, but like you didnt want to shell out a bunch of money. I ended up pulli
