Digital cameras last a long time, probably bifl if you treat them well. I have had a couple die from abuse but never just normal wear. I really like the Sony point and shoots, but most Nikon and Canon are going to be nice and in budget. Assuming you want a moderate zoom, Canon powershot, Nikon coolp

If I had to start over with a limited budget I'd probably get a Sony alpha 6100, or if budget allows, the 6400. Both have interchangeable lens and will last you a long time. They also come with decent lens included, great for beginners to learn! But honestly, Nikon, Sony, Canon all have some great b

A Sony Alpha 6100 would be good. With optical image stabilization and excellent tracking.

Ess

Recommend A6100. A6100 and A6400 have same feature. It has third party lenses. Could save for good quality lens. https://youtu.be/1xEQkYUyQe0 https://youtu.be/h48hMeB6sS4 https://www.bestbuy.com/product/sony-alpha-6100-aps-c-mirrorless-camera-4k-video-camera-with-e-pz-16-50mm-lens-black/J7XSRH5T77 h

12 MP is a much higher resolution than 4K UHD I didn't think I'll have to explain how resolution works in r/hardware out of all places, but here we go... 12MP sensor gives you 3968x2976/4032x3024. Which is much higher total pixel count than 3840x2160, but also... barely over the 4k width resolution.
