The newer firmware versions can break wireless and audio features on a subset of Sony cameras. These issues have impacted the A7S III, FX3 and other Sony models. Most cameras update without issue. Some do not. It is not a user issue, it's a Sony issue. The impacted cameras work perfectly on the 2.x

A lot of people are scared because of people saying it bricked there camera. AF is great! depending on your usage it can be on-par with sony in my tests. IBIS is bad. unusable for cinema or big screens in general, wobbly image. i have the a7sIII and FX3

I own Sony A7IV which has little better AF than A7S3/FX3 and it also struggle in condition like this., but even on S1II AF change to (worse) DFD autofocus above 12800.
