Your favorite small, wide angle prime lenses that use small adapters?
If I want to travel light I use the Voigtlander 12, 15, 35mm (with Canon 50 and Leica 90mm). They are all small and pocketable even with a Sony A7RII, just need bigger pockets, there is also a Voigtlander 25mm that would be a small combo, if you are lucky you should be able to get one with an adapte

Sony a7rii with a canon 200-400mm zoom lens. It's a beast to lug around with the adapter but I love the extra reach on the zoom.

Is the rx100 vii worth it at its price point?
It’s a great camera! You should buy one from MPB or look on Facebook marketplace. I got mine on MPB you can trade your cannon in to them to offset the cost a bit. I have heard the V/VA has better optical aperture lower stop for low light, but at the cost of a lower zoom range. I traded my older Sony

Z7 —> Z8 Is it worth it?
Went from a Sony A7R2 I had for several years to the Z7II earlier this year. Went to an air show in June with it and I'd been considering pulling the trigger on it. The blackout at 10fps was so insane causing me to miss shots I'd have otherwise gotten. Returned home from the trip and by the end of t

Is an M43 not for me?
I tend to agree with this. I recently compared my old Sony A7R II paired with the Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 to the OM-1 using the 8-25mm f/4. Unfortunately, I found the M43 system underwhelming at the wide end. In my test, the OM-1 at 8mm (16mm full-frame equivalent) produced a much softer center frame (

You’d never tell the difference with Reddit image compression.
The nail in the coffin was the size difference between the two systems After all this I still love MFT, it's the camera system I learned photography with. It flat out wins for my style of hand held high magnification macro photogrphy. The Sony A7R II is just such a solid landscape rig and the Tamron

At home scanning questions
I use a Sony A7RII with a Pentax-A 645 120mm Macro with a Fotodiox Pro adapter. VERY sharp lens that isn't too expensive. It's a big lens though, and probably best suited for a copy stand. I DIY'd mine for pretty cheap inspired by some who shared their own here and elsewhere on the 'net.

TG-7 vs A7Rii
The Sony A7Rii is a full-frame vs TG-7 which is a point and shoot. The sensor of the A7 will kick the TG-7 out of the solar system - but only if you shoot RAW and post-process on a computer. JPEG loses a lot of information (e.g. shadow and highlight) so you waste a lot of the capability of the senso

If you’re on the fence about purchasing the a6700, here’s something that might help you
I traded in my A7R2 for an a6700. I wanted that freaking floppy screen! But also the other things. I have been able to pick up several APS-C only lenses for a LOT less money, and I can carry several in my medium-sized sling bag. Because I can only really afford one camera right now, I am WAY happier
