Does this seem overly noisy for the settings?

pixel area almost doesn't matter, sensor technology matters way way way more that's why 48mpx sony a7s iii can be marketed as 12 and people don't care (it's using quad bayer, like phones, but advertises resolution after downsampling, since you can't pull full res photos from it)... and also why sony

Is the rx100 vii worth it at its price point?

It’s a great camera! You should buy one from MPB or look on Facebook marketplace. I got mine on MPB you can trade your cannon in to them to offset the cost a bit. I have heard the V/VA has better optical aperture lower stop for low light, but at the cost of a lower zoom range. I traded my older Sony

Leica Q2 vs Sony a7cii and prime lenses

I have a Q3 and a A7rii but have used the a7cii In terms of technical performance the Sony will be superior. Auto focus: Sony by far Image quality: the Q’s lens is impressive. But so are the Sony lenses. Only real difference here is the larger size of the comparable Sony lenses and the fact that the

Curiosity over Pyxis 6k

keep the a7iv for photography and more run and gun stuff. IMO 12,800 iso on sonys is overrated and used moreso as a crutch for event videographers. It is helpful for dark wedding receptions and concerts where you can’t always setup lights. But if you’re transitioning to more commercial stuff you’ll

Fuji or Sony?

I had an X-T2 years ago when it came out. I was moving away from Nikon DSLRs and was hoping Fuji would be a good enough mirrorless alternative, but it just wasn’t. I switched to Sony, starting with the A7Rii, and level looked back. Incredible sensors with amazing autofocus and low light performance.

What is it with Nikon and Social Media

I stared my photography journey with Sony (A6000, A7ii, A7rii, A7riv). I didn’t used to have eye tracking AF with my first two cameras and I was ok with it until I jumped to the newer cameras. While I was impressed with Sony AF speeds, I was not impressed with the color science. I’ve always shot RAW

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! February 27, 2026

Hey yall !! I was just wondering if a used Sony A7R II or a Canon EOS R50 would be more worth it for me. I’m quite a beginner in photography and currently have a Canon EOS SL3 with the kit lens. As of now, I’ve only really done a bit of landscape photography, but want to start doing concert photogra

I have a leica m3, but I want a digital camera, does anyone have any suggestions?

The newer camera will come out eventually. So what. You shot a 70 year old camera so far, newer cameras have come out quite a lot even within the system. Who cares. 20 years ago it was very interesting to look at new digital cameras, compare them to their predecessor and consider the upgrade. Digita

Upgrade path for beginner?

Find a camera that excels at what you want. I do a lot of lower light photography so I went Sony full frame. I like megapixels so I went with the Sony A7Rii. I bought used and it saved me a crap ton. Definitely go full frame it makes a huge difference imo. Then save up and buy the nicest glass you c
