Hobbies have too much depth now

I 2nd this. Buy an old Sony Nex or Fuji mirrorless and slap a vintage Nikon or Canon MF lens on it from the 70s-80s via a $9 adapter. When i bought my A7Rii new a decade ago, I didn't have the money for the 1st party lenses available and so I exclusively used Fujica and Minolta SR mount lenses for t

Summer every day carry

Using the magnify button to punch in for focus helps, One of the benefits of mirrorless is you can get cheap adapters and very cheap quality lenses. I use my E-PL1 with old Prakita/Pentacon lenses, Have not spent more than £30 on a lens, 28mm 2.8, 50mm 1.8 and 135mm 2.8. Its a cost effective way to

Sony a7rii with a canon 200-400mm zoom lens. It's a beast to lug around with the adapter but I love the extra reach on the zoom.

My silver nose 50mm f1.4 doing a nice job on my Sony

Good choice opting for vintage lenses over the kit lens. I also use a Sony a7RII camera with vintage glass exclusively. I love the looks they produce.

Leica Q2 vs Sony a7cii and prime lenses

I have a Q3 and a A7rii but have used the a7cii In terms of technical performance the Sony will be superior. Auto focus: Sony by far Image quality: the Q’s lens is impressive. But so are the Sony lenses. Only real difference here is the larger size of the comparable Sony lenses and the fact that the

70-200 2.8

I used the 70-180 a ton on a Sony a7r2 for about 3 years before switching to Nikon. I thought I'd never miss the extra 20mm. Picked up the Tamron 70-200 G2 (F Mount) and I enjoy the extra mm. Works incredibly well on Z8/Zf.

Could people help recommend me a camera for my first set up?

The person's entire budget is 1500$... He'd be better off with a Nikon Zfc or a Canon R than a Sony 6700... He could even get an A7RII or an A7III for half that price, and get good lenses with what's left.
