Sold a Sony camera **body** at a discount on marketplace, received these messages 4 hours later—
Okay so I know this is kind of a petty thing to post but I’m firmly mildly infuriated 😭
Full context: I had a Sony a6400 listed, the description said it was body only, the pictures had the body only as well. I offered them a discount and threw in a free bag, lens cloth and extra caps for free just

How much camera do you really need for the AT? This is Virginia, as shot on Sony a6400 vs Sony a7Rii.
I threw this together for all the people who ask what kind of camera to buy. I carried a Sony a6400 with a basic 16-50mm lens when I hiked the AT in 2022. I went back to some of the same areas this summer with my Sony a7Rii and 24-70GM. The difference between these two setups is enormous - the 24-70

Choosing the Wrong Camera
This is something I should’ve done right from the start, but I didn’t.
So, here’s the thing: I love photography, but not to the point of carrying a big bag full of lenses and accessories everywhere I go. For years, I didn’t own any photography gear. Last year, I finally saved enough money to treat

Sony a6000 (€290) vs a6300 (€450) for Japan trip – worth it?
Seems like budget is a big consideration so just go for a6000. Autofocus is similar and to get the big jump up you would have to go for A6100 or A6400. The extra money you save you can get more lenses or accessories with.

Anyone Else Had a Disappointing Experience Selling to kamerastore.com?
Kamerastore, MPB, etc etc. These stores are decent for buying gear because everything is checked, the said condition matches the product (personal experience) and you know what you buying for reasonable price. But selling to them? I'd never even consider that. I checked out of curiosity for how much

Buying camera first time
Get a used sony a6400 with sigma 30mm for around 55k. Go to a reputed camera shop, take any photographer friend with you who knows cameras inside out. Even a6100 will be fine imo.

What’s the best camera brand/model you would recommend for a beginner photographer?
I'd never recommend a brand, basically any generalization has exceptions, I would recommend a system though. I would almost always start with some sort of mid-range APS-C camera (a6400/Z50ii/R10/X-T30ii etc.), and then change based on what the person needs: Macro/Super-Telephoto? Look at a M4/3, Fas

career absolutely not going to plan, at what point do i call it quits?
I don’t know the specifics of your gear but this all sounds like buying cheap gear to me. Buying cheap ultimately ends up costing you more in the long run every single time. Not sure what laptop you’re using but anything before an M1 MacBook isn’t going to keep up much longer. I think you’ve got 2 o
