New B&O Speakers
In France, it’s 1300€ for 2 Sonos Fives. For this price I can buy a couple of focal chora 826 + Marantz NR1200 + cables. Much better in every way.

New B&O Speakers
For a smart speaker brand, it's great, and I definitely can't argue with the bass output. But bass frequency alone doesn't make a good speaker. The Apple Homepod can do 20Hz at 10dB higher than the Sonos Five, that doesn't make it a good speaker. For accuracy and overall sound quality it's still eas

Build a home theater
A home theater would typically be a minimum of base level five speakers, a subwoofer and an AVR. Soundbars, if that’s what you meant by a speaker bar, are a horrible scam product that more often than not will be arguably worse than the factory speakers in a current generation OLED TV. Friends do not

Adding fronts
I highly recommend adding fronts. I’ve experimented with Fives, Play 3s, era 100s, and One G2s. They all sound awesome but the order I listed them is how I rank them in terms of overall sound quality. I bought the Play 3s just do the test. $140 for the pair which seems to be the going rate. I was sh

Side surrounds Era 100
My pleasure and thank you! I really enjoy our Sonos gear and even though a relative Sonos newbie, I’ve completely outfitted two homes just like I want. I’m prepping for my second post-military career and want all the toys updated beforehand. My wife of 44 years thinks I got carried away and spent wa

Need some help with home sound system.
That looks like a device that takes inputs from an amp or receiver and splits them into separate zones. It’s old-school and pretty outdated. Since you’ll need to get an amp anyway, you can remove that and connect the speaker wires directly to a Wiim or Sonos amp. Wiim is more affordable and works re

Is it worthwhile to add two Sonos One as fronts with my current setup?
It’s absolutely worth it! When you add the front L&R speakers, the system deactivates just the front L&R channels on the soundbar. All the others are still active and the outboard speakers replace those two channels. Your One SLs are perfect for the job! I have a lot of Sonos gear between two homes.

What set up to buy for a DIY theatre room?
That’s one choice I suppose. You may want to price out Sonos surround sound. Basic five speakers plus a subwoofer. I suppose if you’re selling the place, taking it with you may make sense. But Sonos is almost never the cheap option. Nor the best sounding option. It is just ‘an’ option.

Denon Home vs Sonos
i tried sonos era 300 and sonos fives. if you put them together this will be the sound of a denon 600. the atmos is amazing just up the width and height at the heos app sound control. Originally i will buy the sonos but i just bought the denon 600 after testing the sonsos and i am coming from the de

After a week my thoughts
Fives are fantastic with my gen 1 Beam. Back when Sonos did the beta test for fronts, I had either Play:1 or One SL as fronts (don't recall offhand) and that was awesome. The Fives take it up a couple of notches.
