Looking for recs
Yeah that’s 100% the chair, not you. Sinking height + dead seat cushion is classic cheap gaming chair behavior. If butt comfort is your #1 priority, I’d honestly skip “gaming” chairs and look at ergonomic office chairs instead. Around $300, try to find a used Steelcase Amia or Leap on Marketplace —

Cheap mesh seat chair.
If you buy a really cheap mesh seat chair the mesh will also sag after a few years of use, the issue isn't that its foam or mesh, its the quality of the foam or mesh. If you are looking a chair on the budget side i will recommend Sihoo M57 (mesh seat) or Sihoo M18 (foam seat) only costing around $18

Budget Chair (150-200€) opinion
For that price, i would definitely recommend the sihoo m18 and m57. Pick the m57 if you need the extra airflow from the mesh seat. Otherwise, the m18's foam seat is more comfortable. Ideally it would be better if you could increase your budget, but for €200 i think most people would be happy with a

I've been using Sihoo M18 for a 1.5 Years now. Here are the pros and cons.
I just got a Sihoo M18, tried for a week and I’m pretty happy with it. I’m 6’3, 220lbs and I fit comfortably. The head rest goes high up enough to be comfortable for me. Armrests are surprisingly comfortable. Seat could have more cushion but it’s acceptable. Coming from a Staples Sorina which was co

Office Chair Recommendations Australia < $1000
I ended up just going for it and got the Sihoo M18 Pro. I was willing to buy chairs up to 1k but after trialling seats at Officeworks with the mesh seating, I decided I wanted a cushioned seat, which limited my options. Only used it for a day so far but it's decent, especially at that price point. L

Looking for a Recommendation Please?
Omega is on the firm side so if it’s already making your back sore you’ll probably feel a lot better in something with softer cushioning and real lumbar support instead of another racing style chair At 5’4 around 200 these usually fit well Steelcase Leap v2 excellent back support without being rock

Chair?
For a 73 cm desk, you just need a basic ergonomic chair with adjustable height and lumbar support — nothing fancy. Look for something like the Sihoo M18 , Hbada ergonomic mesh, or any similar mesh office chair with adjustable lumbar. They’re affordable, breathable, and much kinder to your lower back

Tiny person desperately needs a new chair
You could check the Sihoo M18. It has a flat seat (not a bucket), adjustable armrests and headrest, and the seat is wide enough if you like sitting cross-legged. Another reco for smaller users is the SIDIZ T25 ergonomic desk chair. If you can, try sitting in a few chairs at a furniture store first.

My back is killing me. Is it time to admit that "Racing Style" Gaming Chairs are actually garbage?
Racing-style gaming chairs often disappoint long-term. The leather peels, foam flattens, and bucket seats promote slouching. You should consider getting the Sihoo M18/M57.
